The property is in a nice quiet part of Kyoto but still within easy reach of public transport making it easy to get around to all the main attractions. My family also really enjoyed using the available bicycles to do a bit of sightseeing which I highly recommend. Finally, our host was fantastic. He was very friendly always prompt with replies,

This host was exceptional. I have never had a more attentive and thoughtful host on either Airbnb or Booking.com! We arrived quite late to Kyoto but he still met us at the property, gave us a thorough explanation of how to use the facilities, provided a map showing recommended restaurants and stores, and set us up with so many cute freebies like snacks and reuseable bags. The fridge was stocked with breakfast items, which we didn't expect, and they provided free cleaning service twice a week to replace our towels (there were so many though it would have been fine), tidy up the common areas, and restock products (they provided so many additional cosmetics outside of just shampoo, conditioner, and body wash!). Facilities themselves were fantastic - the outdoor tub while small is very cozy and the kitchen was well stocked with equipment. The host replies very fast and even though he doesn't speak English, he bought himself a translator to help with the communication. He even went out of his way to help us forward our luggage to our next destination. If you are staying in Kyoto and don't mind being on the north side of the city (it's farther away from attractions like Fushimi Inari) you absolutely must stay here!
