Drift off to sleep with the stars twinkling above you. Great Deeside walks just outside the front door. Perfect cosy place for two; I’d say fitting four in here might get a little cramped, especially if you’re going to leave 4 people’s luggage lying around randomly. Hot tub a nice feature. One commenter complained about not being able to use it in the rain, which, frankly, is weird. When you’re immersed in hot water, the rain can’t touch you. The hosts were extremely friendly, and, in my case, literally went that extra mile! Big thank you to Karl, Bess, and Stacey!

Despite being a last-minute booking, we were warmly welcomed by the host, who had the heating on and the stove lit—a perfect treat after a wet afternoon exploring Glenmore! The house exuded warmth and comfort, with a well-equipped kitchen that provided us with everything we needed for our two-night stay. It was a relief to find all the basics readily available, making meal preparation a breeze. The location of Brylach Steading was perfect for our plans to explore the Cairngorms and the stunning beaches around Spey Bay (Lossiemouth, Kingston, Portknockie, ...). We were surrounded by natural beauty and had plenty of opportunities for scenic walks and adventures. We were particularly touched by the kindness and hospitality of the host, who made us feel right at home. Their thoughtful gestures made our stay even more enjoyable, and we felt truly welcomed. Overall, our experience at Brylach Steading was wonderful. It provided the perfect combination of comfort, convenience, and hospitality, making it an ideal base for exploring the Aberlour area. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy retreat in the Scottish Highlands.
