Wish we could have met Bill in person as very responsive and friendly on the phone. We were sorry we missed his visit and appreciated his nice note. The cottage was fully equipped and it was great to find scones awaiting us and some other sundries on a prettily laid table for breakfast the next day. Nice layout for two couples traveling together, even with a single bathroom. We enjoyed the fire and comfortable living area and well equipped kitchen. Had a fabulous dinner at the recommended Moran's. The country setting (including nearby donkeys!), with walks out the door, suited us and was centrally located to all we came for (such as the Cliffs of Moher by sea, the Burrens, St. Kilmacduagh, Leamaneh Castle, Ballyvaughan, Maumturk Mtns, the 12 Bens, Galway, Kylemore Abbey, Roundstone, Clifden). In wild and wooly weather, it was very good to head "home" to cozy lodgings.

It was a beautiful place, and even more beautiful after the host Mike gave us the history of it , I even started to read a book he had there about Lady Gregory and I ordered it when I got home so that I could finish it, Mike had the stove lit and the place was so cosy and warm whenwelanded, it was hard imagine it was SO old and stone because of the comfort, it was a home away from home with everything that you could possibly need, and the sauna ❤️ was an added bonus of pure relaxation, all in all we truly enjoyed our stay, thank you Mike for sharing the history and the pleasure of enjoying the work you have done restoring and keeping the pure character of the cottage ,

The vicinity is quiet and tranquil. Home is kept very neat and tidy and excellent. I travelled around Ireland and this was the most homely feel amongst all my stays. Owner is also responsive when communicating and very kind to accommodate a last minute guest with reasonable additional cost. Beautiful home.

Its modern but still felt like a cottage, everything was spotlessly clean, beds were comfy, it was lovely and warm, great location, every detail is thought out so we had absolutely everything we needed and more. The host was brilliant, we really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend.

My husband, two teenage sons, and I stayed here for 2 nights on a short trip around the West Coast of Ireland. The house had everything needed and is in a great location-just a short walk into town. Clifden and the surrounding area are beautiful with lots to do nearby. It was a lovely stay!
