It is a bit outside the main town, which makes it a perfect place to stay if you want to be immersed in nature and more secluded from the crowds. It is a pretty short drive to Sigyria and Pidurangala Rock. The rooms are large, beautiful, very clean and comfortable. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and all the food was excellent. There is a lovely observation deck where you can watch the sunrise, play cards and relax with a cup of tea. There is a beautiful view of both Sigyria and Pidurangala Rock from the observation deck, and this was a highlight for us. Everyone working at the hotel is very kind and wants to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Highly recommend - we would definitely stay here again!

I quickly found a hotel near the airport. Driving through the flooded and devastated area of ​​Negombo, I only realized the scale of the disaster. It also turned out that travel north was temporarily impossible. I didn't make it to the Hideway Garage Hotel, which I regret. But I give the highest rating for the honest warning about the situation. And I hope to visit this hotel again next time.
