Very private and secluded campsite. We were the only guests on the campsite which is ion the Auob riverbed, under ancient Camel Thorn trees. There’s water and the best working donkey boiler I’ve experienced so far for a hot shower. Hanli and Carla are wonderful and nice people and we enjoyed our stay there a lot. The place has a lot of animals, too. We saw giraffes, gemsbok, steenbok, white-backed vultures on the nest, bat-eared foxes and rosy-faced lovebirds.

The hostess and her husband arranged a horse ride especially for my autistic daughter even though they dont do rides anymore. She is obsessed with horses and is a Dressage horse rider herself. They made it possible for her to have a wonderful time.

The setting is great, in the valley looking across at the dunes and the working farm. The sheep were curious and came to help us unload the bakkie. Our room was spacious and well equipped with tea and coffee, soap, shower gel, towels, blankets, plates, cutlery, kettle, toaster, microwave and a high table for 4 in the kitchen. The beds were comfortable and large and there was space to move around. The room has A/C which works well. Our room had 4 single beds, 2 armchairs and a side table, a picnic table and 4 camp chairs, large brick brai and stoop overlooking the communal pool. There was plenty of hot water for the shower. It didn't take long before we said " we will stay here again."
