Our stay at this working vineyard and home stay honestly absolutely made our Douro Valley experience wonderful! Situated on one of the highest spots in the region, the breathtaking views from this 300 year old stay were complimented by the warm and friendly welcome we received from owner and host, Miguel. After a port wine on arrival and introduction, he showed us to our room on the top floor. The views of the valley down to Pinhao are simply stunning, the room, spacious and comfortable. Later Miguel provides a devious local dinner, with paired wine and attentive service. The set up involves all the guests (no more than about 10 max) eating together and sharing a lovely evening ending with more wine and port and Miguel on hand to share many insights of the region and the history of his vineyard. After a comfortable night, it’s a hearty breakfast getting you set for your day. I would recommend this stay for anyone considering Douro Valley. Miguel will make sure your stay is memorable and the low cost in no way reflects the high standard of the experience!

Set within 46 km of Mangualde Live Artificial Beach and 20 km of Montebelo Golf Viseu, Quintinha Silvestre offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Tondela. What a gem! Idyllic setting overlooking an olive grove but close to town. Super clean, large room with lots of windows. Great breakfast spread. For the price, a super deal. I will stay again if I return to the area.

Located in Videmonte, 17 km from Guarda Cathedral and 18 km from Guarda Castle, Casa do Chefe provides accommodation with amenities such as free WiFi and a flat-screen TV. Charming, Old European look and feel. There is nothing better than experiencing the real authenticity of what Portugal is all about. The rich culture, cobblestone streets and the energy. Casa do Chefe, is gem of a location. Sandra and Pedro are incredible and truly made our stay here feel like home. The decor is fabulous and truly memorable on many levels. We will most definitely be back.

Set in Tabuaço, in a historic building, 32 km from Douro Museum, Quinta da Moita Agroturismo is a recently renovated farm stay with an outdoor swimming pool and garden. Staff was so helpful and friendly. The apartment amenities were all you could ask for. The pool and property were stunning. It was a quiet location. Mini bar with local was amazing and great value. The breakfast was very very nice. I would recommend walking the trails around the property. Numerous fruit trees and vast orchard with history pathways. Great hike. Parking was ample and shaded.

Offering an infinity pool and river view, Quinta de São Luiz The Vine House is set in Tabuaço, 19 km from Douro Museum and 30 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary. Everything was great, the breakfast was delicious! We had a great time!

Featuring a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, garden and views of mountain, Beecaramulo-Apiturismo is located in Caramulo, 50 km from Mangualde Live Artificial Beach. A wonderful place to stay if you are in this part of Portugal. Our room was spacious and comfortably furnished. The owner, Catarina, was a mine of information about where to eat and what to do and, even though we were the only guests, she prepared us one of the tastiest hotel breakfasts I've ever had.

Set in Nelas, 17 km from Mangualde Live Artificial Beach, Casa Nova Rural offers accommodation with an infinity pool, free private parking, free bikes and a garden. Amazing stay, amazing property and topped off with an absolutely amazing and simply wonderful host called Sandra. We loved our stay so much and Sandra was the most lovely person who made us feel right at home. The rosè at sunset in the garden was the highlight of our trip <3

Casa in pieno centro, confortevole e pulita. Accoglienza fantastica, ci hanno offerto del vino fatto in casa e abbiamo avuto l'opportunità di comprare delle bottiglie da portare con noi. La signora ci ha consigliato un buon ristorante tipico a pochi metri da casa, e ne è valsa la pena. Bella esperienza!
