The Pamirs region offer some of the best high-altitude treks in the world, with beautiful sky-high scenery and the option of a breathtaking drive along the Pamir Highway. Equally wonderful excursions can be found along the border at the ruins of ancient Penjikent and the surrounding Fann Mountains. Tracing the Pyan River south from Khorog, the Wakhan Corridor is sprinkled with picturesque villages, ancient shrines and crumbling castle ruins. The corridor runs right up to the border so it’s possible to cross into Afghanistan and explore the Wakhan from the other side. A small number of large hotels are available in the capital city of Dushanbe, as well as apartments and hostels. Homestays can be found across most of the rural areas.

Exceptional Stay – Feels Like Home! 10/10
We had an amazing stay at Soro Hotel Dushanbe. The location is perfect and made it so easy for us to explore the city. The rooms were clean, comfortable and truly felt like home.
A very special mention to Mirzo, our wonderful host. He made our stay extra special with his warm hospitality, helpful nature and friendly attitude. He goes above and beyond for guests, and because of him, the whole experience felt like staying in the best home away from home.
Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Dushanbe. Would definitely choose Soro Hotel again.

The best place we stayed in during our travels in Tajikistan. New hotel with great facilities, strong hot shower, strong wifi, and free pick-up/drop-off from Dushanbe Airport. Breakfast was also not too bad. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Will recommend.

Great place! Great and very convenient location! Great staff! I made a mistake at the airport and took the wrong suitcase, it was very late at night and I did not have local currency, but the manager Ali called me a taxi, explained what to do and gave me money for the trip there and back!!! He helped me out a lot!!! Thank you very much!!! I wish you prosperity!!!

Fantastic place a 10-min ride from the center of Khorog. Joseph was an incredibly pleasant host. Very knowledgeable about the region and easy to talk to. The room was clean and spacious, the hot shower soothing after days on dusty mountain roads, and the breakfast was great. There’s a nice outdoor seating / dining area for use during the warmer months. You can easily get a taxi into the center of town for a few bucks and the part of the town near the hotel is very quiet. If I ever make it back this direction, I will be sure to stay here again.

We had a perfect stay at Hotel Ayni. Our room was clean and spacious. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was good and diverse, with hot food, pastries, fruits, coffee, tea etc. I can recommend a stay at this hotel.
