Balibo Fort Hotel is a truly unique travel experience, the quality of stay was like nothing else we experienced in Timor Leste. The rooms themselves are modern, very clean and wonderfully decorated, whilst being surrounded by elements of the fort. The pool was an absolute highlight, with wonderful views of the local mountain ranges. The food was excellent, and there is a huge breakfast. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, it was so lovely to see so many young people getting experience in hospitality.
The hotel is in very close proximity to the Australian Flag House/Museum, and there is a wonderfully kept museum onsite at the entrance gateway, with a broader focus on Timor Leste's history.

Friendly & helpful service, and all that with a good cause for the community. Located 2 steps from the city centre, most sights are within walking distance, or the hotel can arrange transport and sightseeing. Rooms are clean and have all what I need for a good night sleep.

Great location, theirs a shopping centre below with about 20 shops. Four small supermarkets and a dozen food places. The rice and bowl is the perfect place for a morning coffee, maybe the best coffee I have ever had.
The rooms are fine and the staff are great, always will to help with anything. Very clean and large rooms.
