Balibo Fort Hotel is a truly unique travel experience, the quality of stay was like nothing else we experienced in Timor Leste. The rooms themselves are modern, very clean and wonderfully decorated, whilst being surrounded by elements of the fort. The pool was an absolute highlight, with wonderful views of the local mountain ranges. The food was excellent, and there is a huge breakfast. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, it was so lovely to see so many young people getting experience in hospitality.
The hotel is in very close proximity to the Australian Flag House/Museum, and there is a wonderfully kept museum onsite at the entrance gateway, with a broader focus on Timor Leste's history.

Good location, spacious room, AC and WIFI working well.
Free airport transfer was flawless even though we landed very early.
We were allowed to check-in much in advance without additional costs.
Card payment with VISA worked fine, no fee for that.
The receptionist was friendly and helpful, made some calls to solve issues with our car rental company.
Breakfast included in the price was tasty and plentiful.

Staff were amazing. Very helpful with directions, advice and pick up and drop off were both free of charge. Fatima, Luiza and Natalia on the front desk were every day very helpful and cheerful. Breakfast was good. Swimming pool was good for laps. Location was easy access from airport and to down town.
