Everything. Everyone at Trevose were very kind and attentive. The choice and quality of food at breakfast was amazing and the rooms were stunning.

With boutique bedrooms and a stylish bar, Primrose Valley Hotel offers free parking and free Wi-Fi. Just metres from Porthminster Beach, the hotel has wonderful views across the Celtic Sea.

The house was gorgeous, our room spacious and comfortable with a comfortable bed. Staff were friendly and so accommodating. Breakfast was fabulous, with beautiful warm croissants / pain au chocolat and a hot breakfast made to order. It was a quite a challenge to get to the house and nearby car park but instructions provided were very clear and having a car park nearby was handy. The location was superb with a 2 minute walk to get to the beach and a 5 minute walk to town. We would stay here again if we come back to St Ives.

Location, friendliness of staff and very good breakfast

Built in 1904 as the home of artists Stanhope and Elizabeth Forbes, Higher Faugan Parc is set in private grounds with a large lawn for guest use. It is close to stunning local beaches.

The Penventon is a lovely hotel, will certainly book again. It has an almost tranquil feel and looks beautiful on arrival. We booked the Penventon Suite. There was an issue with a flickering light, however the staff sorted this immediately. They were extremely pleasant, also recognising the inconvenience of this we were given complimentary drinks (not requested but very thoughtful and welcome!). The room was lovely. The bathroom was gorgeous; best shower we have ever had the pleasure of! Off the charts! We are both well travelled and have stayed in many 5 star hotels, but this shower was amazing. Loved the 'shabby chic', very welcoming feel of the lounge. It was extremely comfortable and the service was great. The breakfast was terrific, again the staff were most attentive and efficient. We stayed in four different hotels during our trip to Cornwall, and The Penventon was easily the best. The contrast between this and our next 'luxury' hotel could not have been greater.

Overlooking Newlyn Harbour, The Smugglers offers en suite rooms, each with an outside seating area. Free Wi-Fi is available in the guest lounge.
