Samaria Hotel was absolutely fantastic. We travelled to Chania for our honeymoon and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay so special. The receptionists were always smiling and helpful, the valet staff were friendly and quick, the housekeepers did a great job cleaning our room. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the harbor, lots of nearby restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies, etc. We would stay here again in a heartbeat (hopefully soon!).

I arrived at Porto Platanias Beach Resort & Spa on the 1st day of the season. The staff were so kind and welcoming, everyone was smiling and helpful. The hotel is huge, there are a lot of buildings and swimming-pools, but it's easy to find your way around. I spent an amazing time in the Sparkling Spa, the whole facility is divine, especially the pool and the hydromassage. Dinner was served on the 1st floor of the restaurant with a beautiful view over the hotel's beach and Theodorou Island. Both dinner and breakfast were buffet, the meals were delicious, especially the salads and deserts. ( I loved the orange cream! ) They offered Greek specialities, too. I got some Easter presents: "tsoureki" ( milkbread ) and Easter candles. This was a really nice touch. All in all, the hotel is great, but the kind and attentive staff make it even greater. I loved my short holiday at Porto Platanias and will definitely return.

An exceptional location with the most wonderful, sweeping views of Chania. The upstairs patio, where breakfast is served, is amazing. The whole place is character-filled and most picturesque. Wonderful position in the Old Port. Evi, Giorgos, Irini and all of the staff are so friendly, hospitable and consistently helpful.

Everything was great for us! The hotel was right in the centre of the old town, you could go pretty much anywhere within a few minutes by foot. The balcony in our room was amazing, it looked over a small square and the nearby church. Everything was nice and clean and the people were very pleasant and helpful.

The hotel was lovely, and the room we stayed in was both charming and functional. It had a mini fridge and a coffee machine, which was a nice touch. The breakfast was satisfying and delicious. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always smiling. Located right in the heart of old city, the hotel made everything easily accessible. We were very pleased with our stay – thank you!

The building is gorgeous and has such a rich history, with an absolutely perfect location. It was an historic area and somehow quiet, with a 2 minute walk to the water, restaurants, and shops. The staff was so friendly and helpful with our requests, and the breakfast was phenomenal. Very much enjoyed our stay!

This was a wonderful old hotel run by the most gracious and helpful hostess who goes out of her way to welcome every guest! So many lovely little gifts and we only stayed 2 nights. Super clean and so many thoughtful details in the most charming part of the old town of Chania.

A wonderful small hotel with a fab buffet breakfast in a fab location just 1 mins walk from the harbour front. Perfect!

Location, service, room, everything was great!

Great place in the heart of the old town, just a min away from the old harbour. The room was clean and cozy. Polite staff and ready to assist. The breakfast was the highlight of our stay and the young lady that served it was super kind and smiley. Will book again this place next time at Chania!

A very cozy room very well decorated with details, a balcony where u can enjoy a drink that the hostess Alexandra had prepared, warm atmosphere, cozy bed, good shower, yummy local breakfast, location and everything.

Location was great, right in the old town, 1 minute to the harbour with the tourist trap restaurants around it. Eat in the side streets, much better value.
