The location is ideal, right in front of the port with an amazing view! Also, close to the bus station, about 10 min walking. If I come back to Chanea, I’ll definitely go there! The personal were also kind with us, we could eat and have some tea and coffee for free in our last day as we were leaving, thanks for that! The room was available to check in earlier, and we could left our suitcases there when leaving, all good!

THE PORT WAS WONDERFUL TO WALK AROUND AND TAKE IN THE ARCHITECTURE AS WELL AS SHOPPING. THE EXCURSIONS OFFERED AT THE PORT- GLASS BOTTOM BOAT TOUR- WAS AMAZING AND GAVE A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE TO THE TOWN. PARKING WAS EASY IN AND AROUND THE OUTSKIRTS OF THE TOWN, AND AN EASY WALK INTO THE PORT. WE ACTUALLY FOUND A WONDERFUL RESTAURANT WITHIN THE OLD PORT BUT AWAY FROM THE TOURISTY AREA THAT WAS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC; TO KAFENIO BY THE CHURCH OF AGIOS NIKOLAOS.
The old town and the Venetian Harbor were really fun to explore. The history of Chania is fascinating. The Archeological Museum of Chania is worthwhile. The options for dining were varied and plentiful, even in the low season. We took the bus to the nearby town of Rethymno, which was a fun day trip, highly recommended.
Chania has history and I would recommend reading, particularly abiout the World War 2 experience, to inform where you might visit on the island of Crete. Chania itself is a good mixture of old and new with so many charming tavernas and cafes. Not too much to do when it rains, and I has a few of those as I was here for the month of November: like summer in the south of England.
The nicest city in the island. Fine food, nice local people, wonderful landscapes, a gorgeous city, an incredible hinterland, great shopping, plenty of history, special atmosphere… a marvellous place!
The town of Chania is lovely. There is a vibrant bar scene that caters for all tastes (although there is a definite heavy metal fondness from some bars). There are multiple restaurants and the types are equally as good. They are not really into vegetarian food but there are options to choose from. The restaurants at the main front in Chania are more expensive and clearly cater to the tourists, so there are cheaper options away from the front. The tourist shops generally just sell the usual tourist ‘tat’ although there are a few nicer shops to visit. We actually found a store that did Costa coffee which was a bonus for us, although there is a bigger Starbucks right in the centre but it’s very expensive. Food generally is much more expensive than in the UK. We went out of season and it was still quite busy. Our host said that in high season the place is mental and rammed to the rafters. Oh, the other thing to note is that nearly all Crete men smoke, so when you’re outside having a nice meal during the day, expect to be covered in smoke.
A beautiful city. A lot of traffic, a permanent traffic jam. Everything is very expensive. This is due to the fact that demand exceed supply. Pity for such a beautiful city. Lots of places to go , but no parking anywhere.
Chania Town
Impeccably decorated with contemporary facilities, in a restored monastery, the restoration work preserves and accents features of the original architecture and my room overlooked the old harbor and was within minutes of walking to everything I needed in Chania. The soundproofing was among the best I’ve experienced anywhere and the bed was decadently comfortable. If you are looking for a special place to stay in Crete, you’re very lucky and blessed if you get a chance to stay here.
Everything was perfect! it is a true gem in the heart of Chania, with perfect location in the harbour and serving as a good base to explore all of west crete, great rooms and detailed and attentive service to the client. I don't think words can describe enough the high level of comfort and service that this hotel provided for me and my wife for a truly relaxed and wonderful vacation
Chania Town
Konstantinos was a great host. As it was our first time in Crete, he was very helpful with recommendations of things to do and places to see. The apartment was very modern, clean, and felt like home. Location was amazing, so close to the old town, Chania. We had a car park as part of the booking which was very handy also, especially because parking in Chania at night can be difficult.
Chania Town
Our host was so wonderful! They were there for all of our questions 24/7. They booked us a tour, recommended best places to visit. They even borrowed us a parasoil :) Room was modern, new, extremely clean and well equipped. Bed was perfectly comfortable. Our stay in this hotel is one of the best experiencies in Crete, great example of Greek hospitality, I recommend it!
An incredible hotel situated in the heart of the old town of Chania, Crete. The suites have the most beautiful panoramic view of the port and the lighthouse. They are spacey and have everything a visitor could ask for, during his accommodation. We definitely recommend this hotel and we will stay there again. Truly the best hotel in the old city with the best view!
Chania Town
Beautifully renovated apartment in the heart of Chania's old town. It has a balcony where we could enjoy the raki and organic fruits, the hosts left for us. The view is charming as you can seat and enjoy to look over a traditional Cretan street. One of the best accommodations we stayed in during our trip to Crete. The hosts were very generous and friendly to us.
Chania Town
The place is really awesome, just 40 minutes from Chania and 40 minutes from Sougia. The town is small but the people are so kind,Petros the host is really kind too and is always there if you need something. If you want to relax, feel the real Crete life with cats and sheep all around the cottage and to stay out of the city crowd this is the right place.
Chania Town
The apartment is in a really good localization. About 10 minutes walk to the nearest beach and also to the old town. The apartment is fully equipped with all necessary things. The hosts were really nice and helpful. They've responded really fast for all our questions. Also they gave us great recommendations about what is worth to see on Crete.
New hotel, big spacious room, clean and tidy. Comfortable bed and pillows. Quiet area. Service is outstanding. Georgia gives 5 star personal service attending to your every need. Breakfast was delicious. Homemade traditional Greek food. Private parking for hotel guests. Walking distance to the beach, old town and the port. I highly recommend it.
Perfect location in the middle of the old town and few meters from the sea. Super friendly staff helping with everything. Clean rooms, modern bathroom. Small bottle of Raki as a welcome gift. We had to leave in the middle of the night, so hotel ordered taxi for us and prepared us breakfast bags for the travel.
Chania Town
Great location by the beach and lovely nearby restaurants on the seafront. A short walk to the beautiful old town of Hania. Quite easy to find a parking space nearby (for free), and easy to explore the west of Crete from here. We were upgraded to a lovely large apartment with a great balcony.
Chania Town
Manolis, the host, was really helpful, welcoming and gave us nice tips about Chania and Crete. The location was perfect having stores and restaurants close by as well as walking distance from the center. The apartment is big and spacious. The pool was easily accessible from the facing hotel.
Nice little beach front hotel. Walking distance to the old port (about 2km - but nice seafront route). People are nice, theres immediate access to a beach (although not the best in Crete!) and there's free parking as well. The place is clean and they bring fresh towels every day.
one of the best places I have been to in Greece. their customer service is definitely the best. the hotel room was very nice with a balcony. breakfast was amazing and the pool is very nice. it’s a small boutique hotel and I liked it very much.
Chania Town
An amazing location to stay at during our trip to Crete. Clean and very nice facilities. Staff were very helpful in arranging our room, and the cleaners were very meticulous. Plenty of space in the room, and in an ideal location for the Old Town.
Hammam, pool, gym, restaurant, poolside bar all were great! Room with direct access to the main pool, and panoramic sea view. Good prices, good staff and many facilities. The chania town is about 10 minutes car ride from the hotel.
The hotel is in the center of Chania, close to the old town and to the bus station. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room are clean and spacious. The breakfast was a buffet, lots of choice and tasty.
Chania Town
Very modest hotel. It is clean and quiet, but other than that it has nothing that makes it shine. Next time in Crete I would definitely try to find another location/hotel.
The best hotel in Crete! So so beautiful. The private pool is amazing, the view is everything. Loved it all
The best old town hotell we've ever stayed at.
