We booked a little last minute, but were very happy we did. The hotel is just outside the old town and walking distance to the bus station. Following several long day trips, we ended up ordering room service on the balcony. The food was great, nice to relax there and chill out. The staff were very friendly and lovely. Top marks!

El Greco was one of our favourite stays on our trip! From the moment we arrived the hotel looked gorgeous, the staff were welcoming and generous and we were absolutely thrilled with the location. The room itself was lovely and the included breakfast was delicious. Chania is a beautiful town and we can't wait to get back and stay at El Greco again!

I absolutely loved this place: the design, the people, the breakfast, everything!! I usually go to “small luxury hotel (SLH)” and this hotel can certainly be one of them! The staff is great, nice and full of attention. They were very quick to fix things when we requested a fan or an extra chair. They are also providing as many towels as needed, for beach or bathroom for free. As well as beach beds and beach umbrellas for free. The food is excellent with a great choice. The dining area was great, inside and outside near the ducks. The tables are always clean, as they are cleaning as soon as you leave the table. The spectacles are diversified, and I greatly appreciated the one with the magician or with the acrobats. The gym is nice and clean, provides water and free towels Very couple or family-friendly It is a really great hotel where to relax, regenerate and chill Overall we loved our stay there, it’s not a so big resort but everything that you need is all there. For sure we will come back! Thanks a lot

The property is absolutely fantastic. Location is superb. Facilities are great. Great breakfast, variety of Lunch, snacks and wonderful dinner every day. We were on All Inclusive, so we didn’t need anything else regarding food and drinks. We had 2 rooms, one of them with a private pool and it was really beautiful. Rooms are very spacious and with all the necessities required. Both rooms were equipped with a small kitchenette a living room which we had a sofa bed in, separate bedroom and a bathroom . Shower was very spacious and comfortable. The room with the private pool was also with snacks, wine, beer, soft drinks etc. The private beach and the beach is really nice. The people from the reception are really helpful . They suggested us with excursions which we really enjoyed

The staff are very kind, friendly and helpful. You can stay after your check-out. Breakfast was varied (bacon, mushroom, two kinds of egg, baked goods, cheeses, fruits, freshmade orange juice, etc). Our room was perfect for us. The hotel is closed to the 'Stadium' bus station and to the small Koum Kapi Beach. On Saturdays the local market is next to the hotel as well, worth to visit!

We were impressed with the staff, especially, Maria, Nikolas, Emma, Vaia, Michalis and the shuttle drivers. The spectacular view and wonderful amenities including free shuttle into town, large pool, plentiful breakfast and laundry facilities made our stay extra special. We also loved the large balcony. We love Chania and the Royal Sun.

For those who want a quiet get-away and yet close shopping, Kissamos is hard to beat. Close to the port for Balos-Gramvousa excursions and secluded for a wonderful relaxed time with your loved one. Gramvousa Restaurant is a must, a short drive to a memorable dining experience. Loved snorkeling and fish sightings around rocky areas. Pictures cannot capture the panoramic breath-taking setting.

Good beach with beds and shades.

Good beach with beds and shades. Lovely clear water, great place to swim. Nice tavernas. Great backdrop of the white mountains and the castle when you are in the water. Not too many people in October but can imagine it would be crowded in high season. Surrounding area is dry rocky and barren. Come for the beach and Imbros gorge but not for a scenic walk.

One of the USB port was not working.

One of the USB port was not working. We had to take our own trash out. Very friendly with our dog Very good breakfast, and great restaurant We had to walk on the way to the parking (150meters) There could be some light on the path. After getting there the first night (the owner was extremely friendly and waited for us although we arrived quite late 23:30) it was very easy to find our way. The surroundings are magnificent You have to be quite alert on the road because the locals drive like crazy.

From Souda, the bus is ~10 minutes to Chania for 1.60€ only.

From Souda, the bus is ~10 minutes to Chania for 1.60€ only. No need for rental car nor searching for parking -- just take bus. Use rental car for pleasure scenic routes into mountains especially Milo's Restaurant. But only during sunlight, not at night!! The trip there is well worthwhile for the food & service, the trip itself is adventurous, scenic & breathtaking because of height.

There are two places I highly recommend for eating. One is a restaurant called Arodou Restaurant, and the other is Znkag Bakery & Pastry (sorry, I’m not sure how to spell it in Greek). Both are very close to Anton’s Home.

Lovely little village with very friendly people working in...

Lovely little village with very friendly people working in the shops and restaurants. Petra is an amazing family-run restaurant with delicious local specialities run by extremely kind people. We went there on this first night and didn't look elsewhere, kept going back and tried as many Greek specialities as we could.

The beach is amazing, one of the most beautiful we've ever...

The beach is amazing, one of the most beautiful we've ever visited. Water is turquoise and sand is truly pink at the water's edge. Loved long walks, shore swims and the sand was amazing. Next to the beach is a conservation area that is really lovely and I enjoyed the walk! Walk across the relatively shallow water to the island to the right of the main beach. Get there early especially on weekends else all the lounge chairs will be taken! Do NOT park at the first parking lot as you enter town, the rates are MUCH higher than the $5 lot that comes next!

All beaches were clean and tidy.

All beaches were clean and tidy. Enjoyed by the locals, often staying past sundown. Lots of tavernas to enjoy. Short walk to 2 supermarkets if needed, well stocked. Bought cheap loungers from supermarket, which saved a huge amount on sunbeds, as we were there for three weeks!
