The property is brand new and exudes luxury from every single aspect. All of the fittings are top quality, the private pools are luxury and the view over chania is second to none, with an unbelievable sunset. The staff are the real success story of this hotel though, they cannot do enough for you and are so polite and just want you to have a great stay! The morning breakfasts are also worth shouting about and absolutely massive!

The best part is the free shuttle to the city centre which takes 6-8 minutes, make sure to book it in advance especially during peak season. The staff at the hotel is service minded. An amazing hotel, definitely one of the best we found on the island. The rooms are new, comfortable, tastefully decorated, and absolutely full with amenities. The breakfast is by far the best we’ve had in our lives and is a must-have! A full offering of the amazing Cretian cuisine. Aphrodite is a little pearl of a hotel with a private beach for those who seek relaxed time. First and foremost breakfast was top quality , there were amazing pastries fresh vegetables cheese and sausage, every day there was some kind of change with the variety so it was fun and interesting, the owner were out of their way to make everybody feel welcomed relax and happy. The room was spacious with a very big terrace, We will surely come back

Very helpful and nice staff! They let me to check in a bit earlier and also welcomed me with a nice non alcoholic welcome drink and little Greece sweets that were waiting for me in the room. Room was also very tidy and cozy, bed was super comfy and the room provides lots of storage space. Breakfast was included - tasty, local and offering a wide variety of breakfast meals. Definitely would stay again. Ideal place for a business trip.

It's a really lovely, quaint and visually appealing place...

It's a really lovely, quaint and visually appealing place with plenty of shops, cafes and food options. We found everything we needed for our month long stay. The beaches were quite small, but lovely, and the museums were interesting to visit. We decided not to drive there, as the roads are narrow in many places, but the bus station is right in the heart of the town if needed.

For those who want a quiet get-away and yet close shopping, Kissamos is hard to beat. Close to the port for Balos-Gramvousa excursions and secluded for a wonderful relaxed time with your loved one. Gramvousa Restaurant is a must, a short drive to a memorable dining experience. Loved snorkeling and fish sightings around rocky areas. Pictures cannot capture the panoramic breath-taking setting.

Lovely little village with very friendly people working in the shops and restaurants. Petra is an amazing family-run restaurant with delicious local specialities run by extremely kind people. We went there on this first night and didn't look elsewhere, kept going back and tried as many Greek specialities as we could.

From Souda, the bus is ~10 minutes to Chania for 1.60€ only.

From Souda, the bus is ~10 minutes to Chania for 1.60€ only. No need for rental car nor searching for parking -- just take bus. Use rental car for pleasure scenic routes into mountains especially Milo's Restaurant. But only during sunlight, not at night!! The trip there is well worthwhile for the food & service, the trip itself is adventurous, scenic & breathtaking because of height.

Good beach with beds and shades.

Good beach with beds and shades. Lovely clear water, great place to swim. Nice tavernas. Great backdrop of the white mountains and the castle when you are in the water. Not too many people in October but can imagine it would be crowded in high season. Surrounding area is dry rocky and barren. Come for the beach and Imbros gorge but not for a scenic walk.

It's a lovely resort.

It's a lovely resort. Visited many times but never stayed before. Plenty of shops and bars but not enough tavernas! A lot of hotels have been built over the past few years ensuring more tourists but it was difficult finding a table in a taverna on an evening and we visited in September so I would say it's impossible in the height of the season. If you like the beach then Kalivaki Beach is a must for you. All sand and no pebbles ! The surrounding area is very scenic & can recommend going on one of the train rides through the local villages. An excellent day out!

There are two places I highly recommend for eating. One is a restaurant called Arodou Restaurant, and the other is Znkag Bakery & Pastry (sorry, I’m not sure how to spell it in Greek). Both are very close to Anton’s Home.

In this village truly feel like stepping back in time. People were friendly and welcoming, making the experience even more delightful. All beaches were clean and tidy.

All beaches were clean and tidy. Enjoyed by the locals, often staying past sundown. Lots of tavernas to enjoy. Short walk to 2 supermarkets if needed, well stocked. Bought cheap loungers from supermarket, which saved a huge amount on sunbeds, as we were there for three weeks!
