The bedroom is spatious, comfortable, beautiful and cozy (warm)! Also, the open air bath is GREAT, perfect temperatures and a view for the mountain Yufu. The location is also very good, 10min walk from the station, there are markets and cafes/restaurants close by. And finally, the staff is very very friendly

Open from February 2015, Hakata Green Hotel No.1 offers clean and comfortable accommodation just a 2-minute walk from JR Hakata Station. Fukuoka Airport is only a 5-minute subway ride away. The self-service check-in and check-out machines are amazing compared to anything I've seen. Climate control in the room worked very well. Shower/bath size and room size are expected at this pricepoint in Japan; still very clean and all amenities provided. Location is 2 mins walk to Hakata Station, which made it perfect for my plans as homebase with a JR Pass. Front desk staff were still extremely helpful (even bringing out a translation device to help answer my questions). One-stop laundry machine that does detergent, washes, and dries in ~2hrs.

Opened in September 2014, Hotel Forza Nagasaki is non-smoking hotel located in the centre of Nagasaki, a 3-minute stroll from Shianbashi area and China Town. The hotel offers free WiFi access. Great location, good breakfast and friendly, professional staff.

Nishitetsu Resort Inn Beppu boasts a spacious public bathing area including natural hot spring baths and open-air baths. It is just a 10-minute walk from JR Beppu Station. great location if your using bus transportion from the airport. when i arrived by bus, i was surprised that the hotel was right in front of me! it was also nice not having the rush to my bus when i left. also it's across the street from a shopping mall, conbini, and chain restaurants. the breakfast was pretty good as well. the staff were very nice. the train station is only a 15 min slow paced walk. but you are close to popular onsen. i would stay here again!

A 3-minute walk from JR Hakata Train Station, JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom Hakata Central offers accommodations with free Wi-Fi. Room was just the right size, not cramped like most Japanese Hotels. Room and hotel was very clean. Location was excellent, just across the Hakata Station.

Dormy Inn Kagoshima offers modern accommodations with free wired internet access. As usual, Dormy Inn did not disappoint. Excellent onsen with sauna (it was never too busy), convenient location, everything run very efficiently. At this price point, I find them virtually unbeatable.

Opened in 2012, Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Kagoshima is just a 2-minute walk from JR Kagoshima-Chuo Train Station and features a French restaurant and massage services. The room had a view towards the volcano island and the city. The hotel is situated very close to the train station and easy to access. The staff was very kind and attentive. The breakfast was also good. I would absolutely recommend it for travellers in Kagoshima.
