The location is perfect and the gentleman on reception, who appears to be a permanent fixture, was most charming and helpful. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for him. There is a feeling of history to the hotel, though it was obviously once much bigger and more grand. However, it retains a lovely feel, and is very clean and comfortable. If you want jacuzzi baths and silver service, go elsewhere. I however will happily return here.
