Offering a restaurant, Aryatara Kathmandu Hotel is located in Kathmandu. Free WiFi access is available. The famous Garden of Dreams is just 300 metres away. The rooms were spotless as were the rest of the facilities. Breakfast was basic but great value considering it was included in the price. Upon arrival in Kathmandu our flight was delayed by 2 hours and our transfer to the hotel had been and gone, so we just took a local taxi from outside the airport which was no trouble. On check-out we asked if we could redeem our transfer as a drop off at the airport instead which the team kindly agreed to, this was a great finish to a hassle free stay at the Aryatara Kathmandu Hotel.

Nestled within beautifully landscaped grounds, Shambaling Hotel is a charming refurbished house from the 70s. Very welcoming and peaceful Tibetan Buddhist hotel. Lovely rooms, prayer flags flying, sound bowls in the room, gated entrance, prayer wheels, great indoor/outdoor cafe/restaurant, beautiful potted plants, yoga and spa including sound healing. Handy to both Bouddha Stupa and Phulbari Monastery. I easily walked to both (Stupa is closer).

This was the third time I have stayed in this property. It feels like you are in your own home. Staffs are very friendly, accommodating, caring and courteous. Let me give you an example of its caring staff. “For the breakfast, they serve you with two slices of toasts. Since I was cutting down carbs, I asked the lady at front desk to send me only one slice of toast because I didn’t want to waste food. After few days, she brought me two slices of toasts and told me that the size of the bread on that particular day was kind of smaller, and she thought one smaller piece wouldn’t be enough. That just brought a big smile in my face.” Even the dog at the property is so kind, it likes to welcome all the guests each time they arrive. I will definitely come back here next time I visit Nepal.

The breakfast was fantastic with plenty of options to start the day right. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The location is very convenient not far from the main attractions, yet peaceful and quiet, making it perfect for relaxation. Highly recommend staying here for anyone visiting the area!

O atendimento de toda a equipe do hotel foi excelente. Staff simpático e acolhedor, sempre prestativos. O custo benefício é excelente, localização central e próximo ao centro comercial. A estrutura do hotel é antiga, clássica, mas bem conservada. Café da manhã farto e variado. Recomendo bastante a acomodação.
