Staff was super nice! There is great restaurants very close by with awesome food at a totally fair price.

This property is located in the country side on a 5-minute drive out of Évora, one of Portugal’s most historic cities and the famed Roman Temple. They have 5 dogs on the territory, and I like them all! All the dogs are great and the big extravert is very clever. Big introvert is a good boy too. But ok, enough about the dogs. The place itself is great. They have oranges and lemons growing on the territory. The room is nice and clean. There is a free cakes to eat. There is a parking. What can you dream about more?

Just 2km from Monsaraz Castle, Monte Alerta is surrounded by a meditation garden, organic orchard and next to the largest artificial lake in Europe, the Alqueva. We liked how welcoming Victoria was. She was an excellent host. Our room (#3) was spacious and very comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast and the pool. We liked the proximity to Monsaraz and to the OLA stargazing as both were just 5 minutes away. It was a good base for 4 days with day trips to Monsaraz, Evora and Estromoz. We plan on returning for a fall or spring visit.
