Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Casa das Proteas is located at Estrada das Covas nº8, São Jorge, Madeira Island, 50 km from Funchal. The location is excellent as a starting point for several hikes. Me and my boyfriend went in Madeira for 3 days and this was a dream place to stay! The room had ocean view and was so calm and quiet. The girls working there were so nice and made us feel at home.🌸 Breakfast is amazing and also in a very beautiful spot. Thank you!

All staff extremely friendly. Nice rooftop pool and bar/lounge. Rooms have everything you need. Left before breakfast but got a breakfast box that had more food than I could eat. Free spa admission with a steam room and Turkish bath complimentary. Nice restaurant and ambiance throughout the hotel. Highly recommended.

Hotelul Golden Residence oferă vedere panoramică la Praia Formosa, cea mai mare plajă cu pietriş din Madeira, şi are piscină în aer liber, centru de wellness şi unităţi de cazare moderne, cu balcon... I had a pleasant stay at Golden Residence Hotel. The rooms were nice and comfortable, and the food was tasty with a good variety. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The hotel offers great views of the surrounding area, and I enjoyed relaxing by the small but cozy pool. Overall, the facilities and services were good, making it a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay in Madeira.
