“Audrey, our host, was exceptional and charming. She arranged to have us picked up at the airport and when we arrived at Casa-Calexico she took a few moments to orient us and tell us about the best restaurants, the closest dive shops, where to rent a car, etc., which we really appreciated. Casa-Calexico is ideally located near the airport in a very friendly, safe, residential area that is within a short walk to the ocean, downtown Kralendijk, to grocery stores, car rental, bars, the best restaurants and dive opportunities. The bedroom was comfortable and the bed was really comfy. The bathroom is modern and had great water pressure and was a good size. We really liked the outdoor kitchen, eating area and porch where we liked to spend most of our time soaking up the vibe. We also liked the facilities to support divers like the drying lines, secure lockers and rinse station. This is a very friendly, cool, funky, compact complex that I think everyone will thoroughly enjoy as much as we did. Thank you Audrey and Joop for being such gracious hosts! We had a wonderful stay. We will be back.”

“The two bed penthouse apartment is amazing. The views and sunsets are spectacular and the accommodation very spacious and well equipped. All the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful and more than happy to make bookings and provide recommendations. The location is very quiet and out of the main town which we appreciated. We hired a car and found driving around very easy. Don't let the proximity to the airport put you off - its not that busy and we enjoyed watching the planes come in to land. We went during low season and the hotel and town was very quiet. Would definitely stay here again and it would have to be the penthouse - best view on the island!!”

“we liked everything! the apartments are perfectly located for access to dive sites and air fills (dive friends - hamlet oasis site, but there are 4 other sites with dive friends). we also loved being able to park in front of the apartment and the lockable drying/storage room each apartment has directly outside the rooms. having been and seen what is on offer on the island we definitely think that this accommodation is ideal. as well as fantastic facilities what really made it great was John. Nothing was too much trouble and he was very helpful and full of advice and recommendations - where to eat, good places to dive and even sight seeing on the island. in the planning of the trip John was fantastic. He helped recommend dive centres (dive friends was spot on for what we wanted) as well as organising car hire (Bonaire rent a car - another spot on recommendation).”

“We loved everything about Seadonkey lodge and Bonaire. From the relaxed out door area, the out door kitchen to the clean and comfortable lodge, the clean and quite spacious bathroom. Our hosts were just wonderful. The best thing was the bikes we could use, since we did not have a car. We hired a scooter one day from Macho Scooters (when we went a little further, to the other side of the Island for example) but the other days we used the bikes to get around. During day time you can bike to town, to the small beaches, or down south to the "salt mountains". Night time is a bit harder since the roads don't have walking or cycling paths and people drive like always on the country side - like crazy. Right by the logde there are a small small beach, not a beach really but a place to jump in to the sea, called Bachelors beach. Clearest water I have ever seen. Perfect for an evening swim. The logde is close to the airport (well everything is close in Bonaire). At the beach by the airport there is the great food truck serving fresh fish that everybody talks about. Yummi! Thanks for this pleasant stay, we loved Bonaire and Seadonkey Lodge and will stay at the same place if we ever return to this wild and fanstastic island.”
