Nicely located place with all the things you may need. The room is relatively small (we had a violet one), but still very comfortable. One bathroom per two rooms. Nice and friendly hosts. You get a city transport ticket included in your booking for the duration of your stay (and some extra hours after it, probably till the end of your check-out day)

Hotel was located very central and we could go to different cities from there as our base. Staff were amazing and curtious. I will go back again soon.

Basic breakfast with bread, cheese, jam (homemade) and orange juice was enough to get the day off to a good start. Both tea and coffee was available with pods. Little garden area to sit in for breakfast and evening drink was ideal. Location literally next to the railway station was ideal giving easy access to both Thun and Bern without need of the car. Hosts couldn't have been more helpful or friendly, giving advice on what to see in the area.

We come back to my home town Bern several times a year and have stayed in many different hotels and B&Bs - SONNEN Loft beats them all! It is a wonderful place, and we didn't want to leave: clean and comfortable, spacious and light, a great location with morning sun right on the river, beautifully designed by Katja and the AareSüdhang team.

Hotel & Bistro Pêle-Mêle enjoys a central location in Bern, a 5-minute walk from the Old Town and 200 metres from the well-known Bear Pit.

The location of a hotel is great but most of all it is so nicely eqiped, lively and a combination of old and new that it is really something special. I even felt no need to add a bucket of freshly picked roses in a room as I usually do :) Pefect, would stay again and again and again (and the cleaning lady Anita even alowed me to briefly look how some other rooms are eqiped and designed, they all are great - and Anita was so kind and helpful). Plus: the breakfast with all the variety of vegetarian and vegan food, fresh fruit, small portions of already made muesli and humus ... very nice!

The hostess, Marianne is a lovely lady who loves what she does. She takes very good care of the property and the customers. Her handmade bread is definitely a star. Also the whole scenery of a countryside village is a winner.
