Hotels in Dongcheng, Beijing

Since it is located right next to beijing station, it was easy for me to find and ride subway. Also, room condition was very good and staffs were very kind. Especially ‘Caroline Liu’. If I visit Beijing again, I would definitely stay in Howard Johnson Paragon Hotel Beijing again.

Housekeeping were great, and front desk staff were also friendly and happy to help. Really good place to stay! Local and easy to connect to other major subway lines.

The location, the service from the staff, the spacious rooms, the Christmas decoration. Generally everything!

A wonderful hotel with a beautiful park view. The location is excellent, right at the intersection of metro lines, with plenty of shopping malls nearby. We were allowed to check in at 6 AM. The breakfast was fantastic, with a huge variety of options for every taste, even for vegans and vegetarians. We also requested an iron and ironing board, and they were immediately delivered to our room. The rooms were cleaned very well every day. On the evening of my birthday, the hotel surprised me with a cake delivered to our room, even though we had never mentioned that it was my birthday. Overall, this is a hotel of a very high level of comfort and service, especially for this price. Highly recommended.

Everyone at the hotel was incredibly kind, and the entire experience felt genuinely personal. I’ve stayed at many luxury five-star hotels around the world, but this one stands out as my absolute favorite. From the warm welcome to the thoughtful attention throughout our stay, everything was handled with care and sincerity. A particularly memorable moment was when the staff helped us carry our luggage to the taxi, waited patiently with us until it arrived, and waved us off with heartfelt goodbyes. It’s those small, thoughtful gestures that truly make a difference. Highly recommended, I can’t wait to return.

Very active and helpful staff. Cleaned, All type of charging electrical fish avaliable in the room. Perfect. I loved the hotel.

A very good hotel, excellent location, near to Forbidden city & other attraction. Staffs were well mannered. Breakfast was good with variety of menu.

The room service food wasn’t great and none of the staff spoke english. Everything else was wonderful.

The hotel staff was very kind and helpful, also speaking very good english for china's standards. They were very eager to help with anything we needed help and we also got many recommendations for our itinerary

We stayed as a family of three (two adults and a 14-year-old child) with breakfast included. Upon arrival, we learned that hotel policy didn’t initially provide a separate bed or breakfast for our child. However, the staff quickly resolved the issue — we were provided both without hassle. The free self-service laundry room was a convenient bonus, and the small gift at checkout was a delightful surprise. Thank you!

Great hotel with an amazing breakfast and very friendly staff.

It was basically perfect honestly, the facilities were great. For a family of 3 we were provided such a spacious room with a sofa and lovely view. The location was great being surrounded by so many pleasant streets, shopping places and restaurants. The staff were very nice and were always trying to be as helpful as possible. And of course, I can’t forget about the breakfast which provided traditional food, regular buffet food and offered a very cheap price for its delicious food. Along with all this, the hotel had so many other restaurants in it including fine dining.

The staff were exceptional! In all my time in China, Mumu, Eva and Wang were the most friendly, informative and helpful of all hotels staff. They made sure one was oriented in Beijing and helped me with everything, from tours to coffee, water, phone apps etc. Amazing!
