We were on a family trip so ourselves with 2 kids (9yrs & 11yrs). We stayed in a suite which slept 4 very comfortably. The room was absolutely lovely, so big and spacious. The staff were so nice, couldn't have been nicer, very friendly and gave us great advice about places to eat and places to visit. The breakfast was delicious, mainly continental but some hot food too. The location of the hotel was ideal. Just a short walk to the U station, we loved the location, its a perfect base for getting around and seeing Munich It's located right across from where Octoberfest is, which now has big tents which have food, music and markets, we went twice to this area (reccomended by a lovely staff member in the hotel). My parents and brother and sister in law also stayed the same time as us and they loved it too. Its not just a family type hotel there were business people and couples there too. We will 100% be going back to this hotel, can't reccomend it enough.

If you are looking to be in the centre of town and within walking distance to most of attractions, then Hotel Deutsche Eiche is for you! My wife and I stayed for 3 nights and loved it. The highlights were location, while close to everything it’s in a quiet street so no sleep issues. The free mini bar is amazing! What a great idea, topped up each day it was awesome to come home and crack a beer. The rooms are large and well equipped, the shower is wonderful with lots of water pressure. The hotel has easy access to the trams and trains. There is a restaurant at the hotel and lots of cafes, bars and supermarkets close by. We also found a laundromat a 10 minute walk away which was cheap and good. An all round great place to stay!

This family-run, 3-star hotel boasts a peaceful location right near Munich’s Oktoberfest site and excellent transport links to attractions including the Marienplatz square and Frauenkirche church.

I think I hardly can remember when else i've been to such a friendly and well designed place. Stuff was very nice and helpful, room was not that huge, but very well planned - evertything was in it's places. Room is very clean and tidy and also cleaned up in every 3 days (which is even more than needed haha). Terasse on the roof is very nice place to chill for sure. Caipirinhas were awesomely tasty in a bar and as a great bonus - free coffee at the lobby.
