I have been on a 2 month trip around Japan and stayed in about 4 hotels and guest houses. This one was the best. Beautiful old building, tastefully decorated, close to Mojiko Retro. Ask the staff to recommend an izakaya - was excellent. One photo is the entrance to the izakaya - name forgotten. Perhaps Kaedaya?

The staff (owner) was very friendly. He was honestly concerned that I had a comfortable stay and that I slept well. Nice sized room, and the traffic noise was minimal (the building is at an intersection).

The owner was super nice and the renovated old Japanese house was cozy (she uses the house as her massaging business). Even though we arrived pretty late, my friends wanted a massage (9:30 PM at this point...) and she was nice enough to provide the service... so nice without hesitation... Thank you so much! would love to go back again :)
