The design of the hotel is fantastic! The rooms are beautiful and clean, thanks to housekeeping twice a day! Thanks for the little attention on our pillows ;)
Charles and his bold collegue (don’t know his name, sorry) at the reception are doing an amazing job. And last but not least Jorge, responsable for breakfast, runs from left to right to make sure everybody is happy and presentation of the food is up to standard. He was very helpfull to us and our baby! Congrats to the entire The Vine staff.

My last night in Madeira before flying home, and this place made it genuinely easy. I arrived way too early to check in, but they let me drop off my luggage straight away - no fuss, no hassle. Same thing before my flight: bags stored, and I could enjoy my last few hours in Funchal without dragging everything around. Such a simple thing, but it makes such a difference.
The housekeeping ladies deserve a special mention. Genuinely lovely, warm, and incredibly helpful - the kind of people who make you feel like a welcome guest rather than just a room number. You can tell they take real pride in what they do.
Would absolutely recommend this hotel, especially if you're flying in or out at awkward hours. Five stars.

Beautiful decor, spacious rooms, impeccably clean and great location right in the centre of Funchal. Lovely views from the balcony whilst not being overlooked.
We enjoyed the little additions such as complementary Madeira wine, chocolates, coffee machine with pods and show miniatures.
Secure building - the entrance hall and lift were also very clean and new.

Absolutely astonishing. Great for family. Probably greatest location in Funchal. Hypermarket 2-5 minutes from apartment. Central street and landmarks 2-5 minutes. Parking for free in 15 minutes walk distance from apartment (google Rue do Alto do Pico street). Wi-fi great. Could work from there fluent. Host - helpful. Playground for children in the park nearby with the great views and facilities (Parque de Santa Catarina).

It was just an amazing place to stay in Funchal. The location in the city centre is great, everything is close. The apatment is modern and fully equiped, we really enjoyed the balcony and everything. We appriciated earlier check in and also 2 beers ready for us. Just perfect. Thank you very much.

The staff was the best. Everyone was kind all the time. Maybe the phone conversations were not best and did not give me solutions I was looking for but otherwise all the people are lovely and make the stay even more relaxing and soothing. Also the style of the building, very classy with use info noble materials.

Staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Hotel is modern and nicely decorated. Food in the restaurant downstairs was delicious and reasonably priced. Free entry to the CR7 museum was a nice addition for those into football.

The location of the hotel is perfect, right in the middle of the old town. The building looks amazing, especially with the lights on at night, and the rooftop with its bar is perfect. I didn't get the chance to try the restaurant, but there was some live music on the terrasse on Saturday night. We had an ice cream listening to it, it was great !
The breakfast is really good and the room as beautiful as the rest of the hotel. Would definitely stay there again !

Staying at The Reserve was an absolute dream come true. I was treated with the utmost care feeling like royalty.
The room was a haven of comfort, featuring a private swimming pool with ocean views.
One of the most memorable experiences was my trip to the airport in the hotel’s Rolls Royce. :) The journey was the perfect way to conclude my stay, leaving me feeling pampered and refreshed in the most luxurious style.
The Reserve exceeded all my expectations making it an unforgettable experience.

Location is perfect. The staff was nice, polite, and helpful. It’s basic, but it’s a 2* hotel and one of the cheapest options in Funchal. It has a beautiful terrace. It also offers breakfast, which looks basic (I didn’t have it, just saw it), but again, for a 2* hotel it’s enough and a nice bonus if you are a breakfast person. They responded immediately to messages. We were allowed to store our luggage there. There is a big supermarket nearby. Book it.
The room was nice with a very big bathroom. Only had the chance to stay over the night as our flight got cancelled but it was very good and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
