Spacious place. Full kitchen. Location just near nice restaurant, close to shop and Starbucks. All what you could need. Don't have beach but have pool. Big bonus that you get kayak and bike for free. Communication great.

This was the first time we stayed in Marathon and we found...

This was the first time we stayed in Marathon and we found it very enjoyable. The kids went to the aquarium and that was reasonably priced and they had a good time. There are several Jet ski rental places available. Boat rentals at Captain Pips was very reasonalble. It was convenient to get to the lower and upper keys, lots of good restaurants and right near Bahia Honda. The seaweed that has washed in smells terrible all along the keys so that doesn't matter if you are in Key West or Key Largo. Marathon has all the conveniences close by- groceries, gas, etc. Restaurants? We loved Sunset Grill. The food there was great and the kids could swim while we waited for our food. Porky's is packed every night and I'm not sure why..out of 13 of us, 13 did not care for the food. We sat too close to the live entertainment. Everyone agreed Porky's is a no.

we dined at the Sunset grill, Faro Blanco yacht club (Bluewater) and Mahia at Islabella on the night of our anniversary. Publix grocery was convenient to the resort. We went snorkeling on the the Sombrero reef on the Marathon Mermaid, very fun!

Marathon is quite large with a wide range of places to stay...

Marathon is quite large with a wide range of places to stay and prices. There are excellent resort hotels tucked away from the main highway, all with different characteristics. A different kind of 'vibe' from Key West. The seven-mile bridge is also a wonderful way to capture the true vista and spirit of the Keys.

Very friendly staff, they contacted me to let me know I was able to check-in early, beautiful view, free sit-down and order breakfast. Kayaks and bikes available with reservations. Located in the middle of the Keys and lots of attractions nearby.

Location,close to food,coffee,drinks,gas anything at all.traffic on 1 is hazardous,do be aware at all times.traffic let's you in n out surprisingly.just be careful.rooms are away from highway tho,so no problem there.ate at porkys,try lobster roll.ate at keys fisheries,watch real surly bar tender(no need for bad attitude,if you don't like tourist get another job)ate at el siboney,always good,walked to 7 mile bridge,worth the walk or run if your in shape,cool off in the shaded rest area on west side below start of bridge.

Enjoyed the beaches, The Dolphin Research Center and the Aquarium. Must visit them if you are in Marathon. The Hideaway Cafe at Rainbow Bend was expensive but the filet mignon and shrimp were out of this world, Had free breakfast every morning. You actually have a menu of different items to choose from.
