The Hosts were very friendly, speaking German, and French, and providing many tips to see nearby villages and Colmar which was celebrating Spring. We stayed at this B&B over the Easter weekend and were pleasantly surprised with a small Easter cake at our table Easter Sunday. The breakfast buffet is plentiful including fresh orange juice, Natural apple juice, cheeses, deli meats, fruit, cereal, joguhrt, and guests may order eggs, coffee, tea as preferred. The living room has a fire place and is very cozy and comfortable to relax before heading out to dinner at 19:00 or so. The Host reserved our table in each restaurant in advance. The room we were in had a balcony overlooking the vineyards, the room size very adequate for 2 people, the shower was with excellent water pressure and temperature, the bed very comfortable. We enjoyed our weekend stay, and will book the B&B again when traveling to Barr, France & Colmar, France, or the Alsace region in France in the future.

Everything was very easy. Barr is a good base to set off in different directions for the day, Strasbourg, Colmar, Black Forest. Restaurants and supermarket walking distance from the house.

Hotel Manoir is my favorite type of European hotel, an old villa that has been renovated enough to be comfortable while still retaining its charm with decor to match. The corner room was lovely, with nice airflow through both windows and a view of the rooftops and vineyards beyond. The room was quite spacious, with nice cozy lighting, a table and chairs and a desk as well. The bathroom was also a decent size. I had requested a room with one double bed, and while this was no longer available on arrival ( I had booked last minute) the front desk was happy to accomodate my request for a bathtub instead. The tub was large with a nice window as well. There are self service drinks available for a very affordable fee near the front desk. While I did not participate in the breakfast, it looked amazing and the breakfast room itself is very charming. Overall it was the perfect little weekend escape and I would definitely return.

El apartamento muy bien equipado con todo lo que necesitas para la estancia, limpio, acogedor y muy bonito. Está bien ubicado para visitar los mercados navideños de los alrededores y el del propio Barr. La anfitriona muy amable, preparó el apartamento para nuestra llegada (bendita calefacción) e incluso estaba decorado de Navidad. Sin duda volvería a alojarme aquí.

Really lovely hotel in a quiet village, in characteristic Alsace style. We had a room at the back, with a wide view over the valley. Personnel extremely friendly. Good breakfast (maybe not big enough for some). For their restaurant you had to cross the road, but that could hardly be a problem for anyone.

This is an exceptional apartment with a fantastic view and everything one needs and more to feel at home, from living room sofa and large TV until fully equipped kitchen and dining room! The host is friendly and helpful and the apartment was spotless clean.
