Hotel Moderne is exactly what the name says but more. It is modern but warm and well-built. The staff were gracious and very helpful. Our room (which overlooked the town rather than the water) was a bit noisy late at night because of the nightlife surrounding us, but the hotel itself was designed with thick walls and with the rooms not on top of each other. Our balcony was a nice addition which added a bit of space, and the mini bar and espresso machine and counter were as well.

The location is very convenient, just a few minutes by car from Porto-Vecchio. The room itself was clean and well-maintained. The patio was also very useful, especially for drying wet swimsuits and towels after the beach. Breakfast on the patio in the morning was lovely and much appreciated. Lorenzo, the host, was very welcoming and kind. He gave us great restaurant recommendations in the area and answered all our questions.
