Comfortable, nicely decorated and felt homely. Lovely village with 2 pubs and a well equipped shop all in walking distance. 2 toilets which is great especially if you are with a number of guests. Well equipped for cooking and living. I would have liked to stay another few nights. Parking right outside the door. Lovely garden up the stairs behind the house. Milk in the fridge.

Welcome pack, lovely 😍 with quality food items, especially the Yorkshire Parkin 😋. Very nice back garden. Well equipped kitchen with lots of teatowels and washing up liquid, etc. Very useful utility room. Spacious rooms. Downstairs and upstairs bathroom with first-rate walk-in shower . Very clean property. Plenty of towels. Children's stairgate came in handy. Nice decor and extremely comfortable 👌.

Great old fashioned pub in a beautiful historic village. Staff were super friendly, the food and breakfast was amazing. Lots of luxurious little touches, like chocolates and cookies in the rooms, good quality toiletries and plush towels.

Loved the yurt it’s in such a lovely spot and the views are amazing, and the hot tub was amazing never been in a self heating one and it really was hot! Perfect temp! The owners are the nicest people ever if need any help they are there straight away :)

Beautiful rural location in a very quiet and peaceful village. Lawns Cottage is perfectly equipped for a comfortable stay with everything you need for a home away from home. We particularly loved the very generous welcome gifts and the super fluffy towels!

We loved the location, it was close enough for us to explore York but we loved the location being out in the countryside. Our daughter loved seeing the sheep and horses. The host was so friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay amazing. She contacted me a few days before our stay making me aware of how to get to the accommodation, how everything works with check in etc and the local attractions. Any questions I had were answered very promptly. The flat had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. We liked the designated parking space and the check in and out process was very straightforward.

the room was comfortable, and quiet. The public areas of the hotel were very nice for relaxing and enjoying meals, and done up beautifully for Christmas, and there was a crackling fire going for dinner. The staff were friendly and helpful. Helmsley is a lovely village to visit with Friday market, some great shops and interesting historic sites and walks nearby.
