First of all Jenny is lovely and made us feel so welcome. Property was lovely and much bigger than we expected. Well equipped kitchen and laundry room with everything you could need, really handy to have a freezer. Rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. Plenty of room for 6 adults and a toddler. The weather was good during our visit so most of our time was spent in the garden or conservatory. Good location to use as a base for visiting Dunnet Head, John O Groats etc. Under 10 minutes by car to nearest village (Castletown) with a lovely butchers, well stocked Spar shop, hotel which serves food, chip shop and Chinese takeaway. You’ll also find access to the beach here (our grandson loved it). Throughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

This small, family-run hotel has free Wi-Fi and free parking. It is in the centre of Castletown, close to Thurso and Wick and only minutes from the Castle of Mey.

The staff is super friendly. They accommodated my request for a late check in. The hotel is cosy, comfortable and warm.

Fantastic views, quiet and secluded. Dog friendly. Beautifully looked after. Highly recommended. Just perfect and we hope to go back and make more use of the BBQ, Firepit and Hot Tub.
