Situated 25 minutes drive from the historic cities of Bath and Bristol, surrounded by quaint villages and stunning countryside, The Old Parsonage is a Grade II* listed 17th-century house, which retains many original features such as period fireplaces and a 17th-century staircase.

The room was excellent for what we needed. We did not have breakfast. Staff were very friendly and at the end of our stay, gave us a tour of the property and gave a comprehensive history. No complaints

Cottage was great!. Really pretty, well equipped, very comfy beds and lots of room for 4 people. There was a log burner we lit one night, for a cozy night in. There are 2 sitting areas in the garden. Very handy for a little supermarket across the road, and walking distance to a great Italian restaurant. Lovely weekend had by all. We didn't meet the host but she replied immediately to answer a question. Parking was on the road, plenty of it available within yards of the cottage.

It was beautiful, it’s a property full of character. I loved the idea of such a small living space, modernised to such a high standard, which was easily utilised as a fully functioning place to stay. Very relaxed and peaceful.

What a great place! James was a lovely host, and we loved the house itself and the decor. We liked the little unique touches that were about, such as the history of the house section in the booklet, the room names and the crocheted WiFi code! The breakfast was amazing as well (particularly the cooked breakfast and the muffins), and was beautifully laid out. A lovely family-run business, would definitely stay here again

The property was beautifully furnished and comfortable in a perfect location for visiting family. The owners certainly went the ‘extra mile’ and were extremely accommodating. It was the additional extras that made our stay even more special - there was milk, tea, coffee, cereal etc provided on arrival plus a delicious home made Victoria sponge! The quality of the furnishings, bedding and towels were also of a high standard.

Everything. James was a super super host. Could not have been more pleased. Breakfast sumptuous and superb, Honesty bar a treat. Room included multiple cable connection for charging multiple different phones. Could not fault. Have previously rated another location 10, by comparison this is a 12. Fantastic history, if it's good for 2 kings, what can you say. Would definitely visit again. Like being in the family home, which it is. The Farrington inn was nearby (approx 200-300m) and suited us fine.

Outstanding house and gardens in a small village. The Accomodation is the home of the proprietor and family. I would check carefully before arriving that the proprietor is happy with the booking. This would suit the senior traveller.
