The mountain views were amazing. The kids loved the pool. We saw swallows, bats and lots of cats! We would love to come back again. The house had everything we needed and Maria was a great host. It was also a great location to visit the beaches of West Crete.

We had an incredible stay at Casa Arokaria in Voukolies, Western Crete, with our family and two teenage daughters. From the moment we arrived, we received a warm welcome and were charmed by the beautifully decorated house. The tranquil setting amidst lemon and orange trees was simply delightful, and we savored freshly squeezed fruit juice every morning. One of the highlights of our trip was a breathtaking hike through Gorge Deliana. We were accompanied by curious goats and sheep, which made the experience even more memorable. The natural beauty surrounding us left us in awe, and it was a great way for our family to connect with nature. During our stay, we also visited Biolea, a local organic olive oil factory. We had the opportunity to learn about the olive oil production process and indulge in delicious meals at a picturesque location atop a hill. The flavors of the region truly impressed us, and it was a culinary adventure we won't forget. Overall, our time at Casa Arokaria was unforgettable. The warm hospitality, serene surroundings, and the chance to immerse ourselves in the beauty of Western Crete made it a perfect family getaway. Konstantina and her team are just wonderful, super friendly and helpful, feels like being with friends! The rooms are luxurious for a good price, you're close to the street but traffic is hardly there and with the swimming pool and gorgeous buildings you're in a relaxed mood. Breakfast is served at the tables outside, with the same basic elements but always with small variations and extras (e.g. Greek yoghurt and honey, eggs, hot drinks), so you never get tired of it. Also, Konstantina gives excellent tips for places to visit and restaurants to go to nearby. Just perfect!

The house is in a really small village, far from everything. We liked this, because it was really quiet, cool at the night, and we could see the orange and oil trees on the hills. In the garden one can find place to sit down or lie in the shade, we had towels for outside use as well. Stella waited us with fresh fruit and snacks. A third bed was placed in one of the rooms, so no one had to sleep in the living room.

Villa Nimertis is a fabulous retreat located away from everything! It is nestled high up in the mountains and its clever design affords fabulous views of the sea and mountains from all aspects. The villa is well equipped and nicely furnished making for a comfortable stay. The pool and jacuzzi and the shady seating area often make it hard to leave the villa!
