The hotel is very special, into an old and totally renovated Chettinadu palace, the atmosphere is great, it was nice to stay two nights to enjoy the place. The food is fine and the staff is very helpful. I would suggest to make the Chettinadu tour from the hotel and the palce tour, both very interesting.

Kavita the receptionist was simply the best of her kind: welcoming, friendly, informative, inquisitive with a heartwarming life story too. The place itself was charming. Large, clean and comfortable room. Breakfast in nearby Chettinadu Mansion was ample and good, as was dinner there too. Kanadukathan is a fabulous and unique place in India with its magnificent Chettinadu mansions. An oasis of calm from normal hectic India.

Everything! The building is fabulously beautiful and serene. The staff was perfectly gracious and helpful. The trip with Shiva into neighboring villages , tile maker, market, and great houses was delightful, enlightening and fun! He gave us a very warm welcome to his village! Dining was a lovely experience and food was varied and delish. Altogether a wonderful several days in a fascinating part of Tamil Nadu.
