Super comfortable stay with family where everyone had private place and the same time we share huge livingroom and very well eqiuped kitchen. We were with 6months baby so we especially cared to have nice spot to hang around in the evening while she is sleeping and it was just perfect!:) Super nice swiming pool - might by a bit warmer. Very big area, very private. I was extremely satisfied with this booking ! :))

A fantastic place. Apartment is very clean, spacious and there is all you need. The garden is beautiful and well kept and the swimming pool area is so nice. each apartment has it’s own sun beds by the pool. There’s also table tennis and playground for the kids. The location is a bit remote but still close to Pisa, Lucca and the beach. it is very quiet and you have a nice view of horses in the surrounding fields. Paola is very helpful. we really enjoyed our holiday and we really recommend this place.

Great pool, both for kids and adults. Very quiet. Large grassy area for playing ball etc. Fresh bread every day. 10 minutes drive to a local shopping mall with all you need, 15 minutes drive to a local cheese store.

Review Poggio al Casone We were immediately impressed by the stunning location. The secure gated entrance leading up the long drive is lined with Cypress trees and the gardens are immaculate . The warm, friendly welcome we received from Marcella was a great start to our holiday. The apartment (Vigna Bassa) exceeded our expectations. It was immaculately clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. There was also a bottle of wine from the vineyard as a welcome gift. Organic toiletries especially created for guests were also provided. We ordered the Italian breakfast on 3 occasions during our stay. It was delivered at exactly the correct time. It was beautifully presented with fresh pastries, bread, orange juice and coffee. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Communication prior to and during our stay was easy and efficient. The tour of the vineyard and wine tasting was interesting and entertaining. A delightful afternoon which gave us an insight into the area and wine region. Everything we needed for our daily requirements was within a 5-15minute drive. We used the local train station (Pontedera-Casciana) for a trip to Florence (there was plenty of parking). We follow Michelas recommendations and took a trip to Lari ( a beautiful medieval walled village). A must is a visit to the Martelli pasta making factory and IBurattinai restaurant. Poggio al Casone is very special place you can relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings or use it as a base for exploring . We are looking forward to our next visit. Our holiday could not have been more special.
