Being right next to Volto Sancto was incredible we loved how quiet and peaceful everything was. Bernadetta was so lovely and her and her parents took care of us and made us feel as if were home. The host is really good. We couldn't find the property and she came to find us. Then she came to help us with the door lock ( they work differently than in England) and when we locked out ourselves leaving the keys on the table. The appartement is very clean, modern and well equipped. Good air con. No problem with parking in the street. When we were leaving we were asked to leave the keys on the table and close the door which was very convenient.The town is very Italian, nice for wandering with very nice local people, who don't mind helping even if they don't speak English and we don't speak Italian

We stayed here for more than a week and everything was excellent. Splendid views of the mountains in Gran Sasso Park and the surrounding countryside. There is ample safe parking with an electronically controlled gate – a remote control was provided to us, so we could open the gate at any time. The room was spacious and very clean, with a modern bathroom with shower. There was a desk and enough electrical outlets to allow us to keep our electronics powered and charged. Our hostess Daniela was very helpful and took a real interest in our activities – suggesting interesting places to hike and visit, and providing maps and brochures. The breakfast offerings were excellent and included home-baked items; we always had a hearty breakfast to prepare us for hiking. This is an excellent spot to use as a base for exploring Maiella National Park. The nearby town of Manoppello has good restaurants (we returned again and again to La Passione), a supermercato where they will make your lunchtime panino, and a gelateria.
