Agriturismo Due Comuni is a restored farmhouse estimated to have been constructed in 1784. The restoration was amazing and so relaxing. We reviewed over 100 properties before booking with Agriturismo Due Comuni and I am so happy we did. The host was very responsive to messages before arrival and the entire time we were there. The room had a kitchen, breakfast area and sofa along with a sizeable bedroom which provided plenty of storage for our clothes. The bathroom was very nice with a walk in shower. We opted for the breakfast each day and it was truly awesome (see photos). The setting of that room with the stone walls and arched ceiling was amazing how they incorporated the old with the new. Our host was there each morning setting the tables, preparing the food and coffee. She was so helpful throughout our entire stay and very pleasant to talk to and work with. We truly appreciate the wonderful hospitality. In addition, for a small fee they provide laundry service and they produce and sell their own Olive Oil and Honey on the property. We took full advantage. If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful retreat in the country accessible (less than an hour drive) to Florence, Pisa, Lucca or the Beach, this is the place for you. Our host recommended several places in Pontedera (about 14 minutes drive) for restaurants (pizza!!) and groceries (Lidl or Coop). I really enjoyed the small town vibe without all the people and traffic. We had a wonderful time and hope to return again in the near future.

Could not even tell, we did not have the chance to stay there, we booked a glamping tent which was available on booking.com, we informed them to our late arrival 10pm, when we arrived on site no one was there, we called the owner, a lady speaking italian, could not speak english, was super rude, messaged us on booking that tent are not available at this time of the year (why are them on booking then?), she told us she had one bedroom apartment available, we agreed to take it (was anyways cheaper that what we bought), then she told us we did not pay so we have to transfer her money to her personal account (we did prepaid on booking!) after explaining her that we paid online alrrady the lady never answered to us, we were outside during an hour trying to contact her at 10 degrees, we then called booking.com which tried to reach her for 15min, then told us they emailed her and we had to wait 30min for her answer, after this time we could be relocated, there is nothing around this place so if you cant check in there you have to drive for at least 30min, anyways we left this place at 1am we had an awful night, this person does not have any heart to let people out not professional at all, do not go there!

We have experienced a week in Montecastello which we will never forget. It is always a little bit a surprise when you arrive at your holiday location, as you never know how it will be in reality. I can only say that upon our arrival, we were welcomed by a wonderful, warm person who showed us around in the house. We were also given an apple pie as a welcome. The house was very spacious, exactly like you see on the pictures. The swimming pool, which we had all by ourselves, was very big & clean. Our kids have spent hours in the pool. Our host passed by the house every day, to work in his garden & to clean the swimming pool (if needed). On a regular basis, we were given fresh fruits & eggs coming out of his garden, thank you so much for this!! In case of questions towards tips for local restaurants, cantinas & others, our lord gaves us great, local recommendations. We were unfortunate that during our stay, the biggest storm in decades, passed over the region. This caused blocked streets due to fallen trees & electricity which went out of service. Our lord has done everything which he could to help us & to make the situation as positive as possible (provided candles, lights, battery chargers for the phone). Luckily the electricity came back after the second day. Looking back on it, it was a great experience, sitting on the top of the hill in full darkness & silence. We can only recommend this location to other people, as we have had an amazing week in Montecastello!! I could see myself coming back. Grazie mille per tutto!!

A truly relaxing rural stay far enough from all the hustle and bustle, but not too far from the main attractions of the region. Pisa, Florence, San Miniato, San Gimignano, Livorno - all within easy reach by car. Shops and supermakets approx 10 mins away in the town of Forcoli. Very well maintained pool, lovely and carefully looked after garden, lots of cats - we lost counting - three cute dogs, and the people managing this property are really lovely. Nice, cozy breakfast on the patio - and seriously one of the best coffee we've had in the whole country. Do yourself a favor, don't stay here just for one or two nights. Allow some time, if you can, to slow down and deeply enjoy this place.

Perfect place to relax in Toscana with Terrace and garden. The swimming-pool is awesome. The appartment it is new inside, very clean and confortable. You are 30 min to Pisa, 50 min to Florencia, 1 hour to the cost and 45 San Gimignano.
