Stayed in the lodge along with my family for 3 days from Christmas day. Host/Management invited us to join for Christmas dinner and it turned out to be one of the most memorable evening for me and family to have dinner with Host (Brayden & Teri) and Management (Su & Cam). Food cooked by Cam was just fabulous for the dinner as well as for breakfast on all days. It was delight to have fresh and different breakfast everyday along with wonderful interaction with Su & Cam - Both are just fabulous!!! Stayed in Superior Family Room which was cozy/spacious with beautiful view and ceramic bath tub. Proximity to Echo Land, nightlife in Hakuba and ski slopes. Overall - it was fantastic stay and thanks to host and management for over and beyond help to make our stay comfortable and memorable. We will visit again for sure!!!

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights while snowboarding in Hakuba, and it was perfect! Our room and the facilities were always immaculately clean and they supplied us with everything we needed for our stay. It was also in a great location - quiet, yet close to the bus stops, shops, restaurants, etc. However, what made our visit the most memorable were the incredible hosts. They were the sweetest little couple! They were so warm and welcoming, and you could tell how much pride they put into their beautiful Inn. We can't wait to come and stay here again! Next time we will be bringing all of our family and friends too!

Superb hospitality from Bernd and Naoko! The staff are welcoming just like the bosses. We love the beddings. Extremely clean and comfortable. The breakfast is one of the best served in hotels.

Pension Bonnard is amazing value for money. On a five week ski trip in which I stayed at 5 pensions - all of which were very good value - Bonnard was by some margin the best value for money. The host Take and his wife were very helpful and seemed to anticipate my needs even before I asked for help. For example, Take picked me up from the bus at about 10pm and without my asking drove home via a convenience store so that I could buy food etc. Take and his wife would inform me which nights were likely to be busy at restaurants and book a table for me. There are several good restaurants nearby, surprisingly not all were listed on Google maps so it pays to ask the hosts. The breakfasts were the best - again by a considerable margin - of the five pensions at which I stayed. Take cooked excellent five course Japanese meals on the weekend at a cost of about 3300 Yen per person. My room was comfortable with its own heater and bathroom. The building is old with mainly wooden floors but it is exceptionally clean as well as warm. There is an excellent Japanese bath downstairs that guests can use. It has two showers and the bath is about 2 meters square so there is room for several people. The bathroom door locks so couples can comfortably bath together. The water is continuously circulated and refreshed in the bath so besides being fun it is safe and clean. It is a short walk to the lifts and gondola at Goryu
