This hotel was the cleanest and potentially best hotel we booked. The personnel was incredibly welcome and polite. Breakfast was good and abundant. The huge problem was that the entire structure is powered by solar panels, with no backup system. This means that no sun for a few days = no hot water (which, needless to say, is exactly what happened to us) The personnel was incredibly sorry about it and told us that they will install a separate heating system for the showers, but until then booking a room here could be a gamble (at least throughout a raining/cloudy period) For the rest, it's a very nice family managed hotel (which seems to be the best type in Sri Lanka) and I'm sure they have what it takes to run a successful business.

While the evening dining options nearby were somewhat limited, it was a small trade-off for the peace and beauty the location offered. This minor aspect could not tarnish the overall brilliance of my stay. To anyone looking for a serene getaway with outstanding hospitality and natural beauty, this villa in Kandy is a perfect choice. the location is nice, you can go to the lake, shopping mall and some attractions by walk, or take a bus few stops, there are supermarket, fresh chicken close by guest house, they have nice clean! kitchen, nice shared territory with tables with a lake view. In the room we had hot! water which is not easy to find in Sri Lanka in budget accommodations. The girl on the reception is friendly and helpful
