Very nice and spacy appartment in the city center - We stayed only for one night during the way from Bergen to Oslo, but I can imagine a long term stay here as well.

Situato a Tuddal, il Tuddal Høyfjellshotel offre un giardino e una terrazza. We loved absolutely everything about this gem of a property: the location in a stunning natural environment, the adorable staff, the unique history and decor of the hotel full of collectible and heirloom furniture and, of course the wonderful dinner. Food certainly was a highlight as this is generally where Norway fails to impress us. We were served a fresh, creative, and delicious dinner in the beautiful dining room overlooking the fjell. The chef even adjusted the menu for the vegetarians among us, creating genuine new dishes for us. Wow! Again, that was unexpected as eating veg in Norway is often a challenge. Everything felt authentic and personal in this independently-run property. Dinner starts with a presentation of the history of the place by the owner, their struggles during Covid and how they overcame them. Charmingly, this introduction included the reading of a poem (sadly we don’t understand Norwegian so had to rely on the translation of the presentation afterwards). Every effort is made to be sustainable : There’s a vegetable garden, the delicious bread is baked on the premisses (we took a box of the amazing Flatbrød with us) and the lovely shop sells some local cheese, honey and other specialties including, this being Norway, sweets :) We are already dreaming of a next stay to the Tuddal Høyfjellshotel to experience more of its magic and of the stunning nature around it as our stay this time was way too short. Note to the owners: stay as you are, you are a genuine gem and the world needs more places like yours. Thank you for everything!

Situato nel villaggio di Sauland, a 25 minuti in auto dal centro di Notodden, il Løvheim Gjestehus offre un ristorante e camere decorate in toni chiari e dotate di connessione WiFi gratuita e bagno... Coppia eccezionale che ci ha aiutato per un inconveniente con il bagaglio e che, nonostante l'orario di arrivo, ci ha preparato un pasto caldo. Davvero gentilissimi. La struttura ben tenuta camere spaziose e igiene impeccabile. Davvero da consigliare.

Situato a 12 minuti in auto dal centro di Stokke e a 12 km dalla città di Tønsberg, lo Stokke Apartment offre appartamenti con connessione Wi-Fi gratuita e balcone privato arredato. This apartment is very big & nice with 2 bedrooms located far apart from each other. It was the cleanest stay I had in Norway! Exceptionally clean. It is in a quiet location.

Nutheim Gjestgiveri is a family-run wooden hotel built in 1877. The hotel’s view over the Flatdal Valley is famous and has attracted painters and artists for generations. It was a good experience at the Norwegian historical hotel having a lot of paintings and a beautiful garden. The dinner was excellent and the breakfast was fresh. All the staff are kind and have good parking lots. I'd highly recommend this place and I wish to come back.
