We spent fabulous ten days with Achille and Maddalena, at Il Mirtillo, and I cannot recommend it enough! Amazing views, up in the mountains, fresh air, quiet chirping of the birds, delicious blueberries, and most importantly, the warm and kind hospitality of the hosts, who were doing everything possible for our comfort and to make our stay enjoyable. Our 2.5 y.o. son had lots of fun running around in the grass, feeding the chickens, picking blueberries, and couldn’t wait to go see “grandpa Achille and grandma Maddalene” in the morning! The breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the rooms were comfortable and clean. There was everything you need to cook and store your own food as well. The location is close for day trips to Lake Como, Bellagio, Menaggio, Milan, and other places. My husband enjoyed driving the 4x4 fiat panda which Achille was kind enough to lend us, for going down the narrow streets. A very memorable experience and a wonderful vacation (you just can’t beat those views!!). Many thanks to the hosts 🙏🏻💜 (also recommended as a perfect stay for two families)
