Outstanding property and every detail had been thought through so carefully. The deck and view were out of this world, providing superb options for sitting and dining outside. The property made everything of the view available and was exactly as described. Marg and Rhys were fabulous hosts, making us feel very welcome and had great suggestions for the local area. Simply stunning property.

Lovely clean spacious unit . Modern. Large lovely bathroom. Very comfortable bed and good linen. Air conditioning. 5 star accomodation. Owner was very helpful and let us use an iron and a bbq.

Well I’ve stayed in lots of hotels and pubs over the years but the Duke of Marlborough hotel sits firmly above the rest. Seriously this place is exceptional from accommodation to food. It’s history is colourful and impressive. IT’s scenic location is the stuff of postcards. Superbly appointed and decorated, you get a real sense of the hotels history with a 5 star feel, so we’ll maintained and presented. You really need to stay and dine here. The experience is something you won’t forget and for all the right reasons. 5stars!!

Breakfast was superb, surprising delights in continental and hot breakfast each day, cooked by the wonderful chef Peter and served by the super friendly and informative host Greg! Oh and the view from the balcony was to die for!

We loved everything about our stay! Lovely hosts met us on arrival, so welcoming 😍 the photos of the rooms don’t do them justice. Perfectly clean and relaxing. Rooms cleaned when we went out and gorgeous to come back to with even the dishes done! The beds and pillows are luxury. Will be back there absolutely loved it. Highly recommend. We travel internationally and stay at 5 star always. This will meet your expectations and beyond.

Such a stunning, spotlessly clean property and superb location. Baden is an outstanding host, with a calm, professional yet friendly and welcoming demeanour. Easy to communicate with and forthcoming with local information. Stayed 3 nights and definitely didn’t want to leave!

Everything was absolutely fabulous from the checkin right up until we checked out the next morning....the pool and barbecue area was just brilliant, the cleanliness of the unit superb, the comfort of the bed was second to none and the pleasantness and helpfulness of the staff was outstanding. Truly good value for money.... I will happily stay here again and again and I will be recommending this lovely facility to everyone I know wanting to visit the Bay of Islands 🙂

We stayed in the penthouse at the back. Was superb! Family friendly. Staff were absolutely lovely. Loved the pool/spa area. Highly recommend! We will definitely be returning. Close to town and the beach was right there.
