It is just a 5-minute walk to the Visitor Centre and 10 minutes’ drive to the start of the Overland Track. The room is big and surrounding by the forest. You can see many trees. It’s very beautiful. And the location is good, just few minutes from tourists center. The room has kitchen facilities, you could cook a dinner and breakfast. In addition, you can take a hot bath after mountain hiking. It’s very relaxing.

Waratah On York overlooks Launceston City Park and is a 5-minute walk from the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery. Cataract Gorge is only 3 km away, and Launceston Airport is a 20-minute drive. The building is beautiful and the room was lovely. There was a water jug available, and even some mint Mentos — which really helped during our long drive! It’s the little touches like these that show how thoughtful and welcoming this place is. It’s become one of my favorites, and I’d love to stay here again next time I visit Launceston.

We enjoyed finding and using the auto focus binoculars in the room! Hobart is presented to you in a majestic and magical way. Sunrise and sunset colors are totally revealed. Situated next to a beautiful park, and historic cottages of Battery Point, and with excellent eateries nearby. Salamanca Place just down the hill. Exceptional!

The room was nice and clean. Did I mention comfortable.
