Relaxing in a hot bath under the open sky, surrounded by stunning nature and a sense of complete seclusion, was truly a unique experience. We were incredibly lucky to be the only guests in the entire hotel during our stay, so we had both outdoor baths entirely to ourselves. Both breakfast and dinner were exceptional. Each meal was an assortment of different Japanese dishes that would be difficult to discover and try on your own. Everything was prepared and presented to the highest standard, and the kaiseki-style serving made it feel even more special. And finally, staying in such a grand traditional Japanese room was unforgettable. It felt as if we were living in one of the palaces we had been visiting throughout Japan.

There was a screen above the bed where you could control the lighting, temperature and even set an alarm to wake you up (you could also set the light to turn on when the alarm rings. Truly helpful for people who sleep through their alarms)
