I recently had the pleasure of staying at Villa Egle. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the beautiful old palace atmosphere that's been transformed into a comfortable guest house. The property is surrounded by and expansive and well-kept garden with an amazing view over the area. The room blended historic beauty with modern comforts and was exceptionally clean. Although I didn't travel with a dog, I was delighted to meet the owner's puppy and to learn that the property is dog friendly. I highly recommend Villa Egle, especially for couples seeking a romantic escape. It is conveniently located just a short distance from Perugia and from the many picturesque hamlets of the Umbria region.

The location could hardly be better, since it is just a few steps from the most valuable part of the city center (through the Rocca Paolina) and yet extremely calm. The funicular, that takes you easily to the train station, is also very close.

It was a delight to stay there. The sun room area for breakfast was very enjoyable and complemented an excellent breakfast. The location is close to both Perugia and Assisi. Federico is a super host, very informative and helpful with suggestions of places to visit other than the most obvious attractions in the area - even suggesting a hot spring spa for us on our way to Siena. Brava!

Monica is the perfect host, nothing is too much trouble. It was a pleasure to meet her. The views of the lake from the lovely garden are even better than in the photos. We had a lovely, quiet and comfortable room. A delicious breakfast in the garden was such a treat. It is in a great position in the old town. We are so pleased that we chose this B&B.
