I have never stayed in an accommodation so pristinely clean and well cared for!! Staff was very very friendly and helpful. Location was excellent for being able to walk places. Absolutely fabulous place to stay, highly recommend for anyone!!

Archway Motels & Chalets offers quiet and secluded accommodation, only 200 metres from Lake Wanaka. The location is great, just a 5-minute walk to the town center. The host is very kind and showed us the local food options and other facilities.

Just 250 metres from Lake Wakatipu, Alexis Motel & Apartments features a large shared patio offering views of Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables Mountains. A beautifully maintained motel with all new furnishings. Excellent cooking facilities and amenities. Kind staff, and in an easily accessible location, just out of the town centre. Even got a room upgrade to a bigger room upon checking in. Air conditioning in the room was much appreciated, considering a lot of accomodation in New Zealand doesn't have it.

I absolutely loved my stay at this cottage. It was incredibly cosy and beautifully decorated, with so much care and attention to detail. It had everything you could possibly need, and the little touches really made it special, including the super soft bedsheets, which made it so comfortable, and being able to wander into the garden and pick fresh apricots, which was such a treat. The location was peaceful and lovely, set in a beautiful area over the river, perfect for switching off and relaxing. There honestly wasn’t a single thing I disliked. I’d highly recommend this place for couples or solo travellers looking for a quiet, comfortable, and special stay. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
