Archway Motels & Chalets offers quiet and secluded accommodation, only 200 metres from Lake Wanaka. Our room is large and clean. About a 10 minute walk to the town center. We had to change our itinerary because the road to Franz Josef was closed at Haast Pass due to slips and slumps. I was having trouble reaching our next hotel to let them know we would arrive a day late. Mark very kindly lent me his landline to use. Mark and Jacqui are wonderful hosts!

Just 250 metres from Lake Wakatipu, Alexis Motel & Apartments features a large shared patio offering views of Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables Mountains. Rally comfortable, clean room with great amenities and hospitality. It also had a spectacular view of the lake which made it extra special.

Good access to the Shotover River and several walks, and we enjoyed being a little bit away from the hustle and bustle of Queenstown (especially over the Easter long weekend). It also provides good access to Arrowtown. Our room was large, nicely appointed and very comfortable. The daily breakfast was outstanding.
