The inn is really comfortable and homey, located in the middle of a forest. The atmosphere is great, in particular the ability to use a private onsen one of which is located outdoors with forest view. The hosts - Satoshi and Elizabeth are great and really helpful. They helped us with planning our day trips and were really nice to us. We ate breakfast, and it was great and worth the price. The rooms are big and comfortable, with all the required facilities.

It was very cozy, you could just relax and spend time there in a japanese house like a local - with Kotatsu and all. The owner of the property was also very kind and welcoming so we felt at home!

The staff was very friendly and gave me some useful tips about what to see in Nikko and how to buy tickets to some of the attractions. I particularly appreciated their food and coffee recommendations. Everything was clean and well equipped. The location is right next to the Nikko train station, making it the perfect starting point for different locations and activities .

What a beautiful, traditional Japanese home with the most wonderful host, Hiro-san. He was so communicative before and during our stay, so accommodating with a great sense of humour. He went out of his way to take us to and from the stations, to dinner, etc. Special shoutout to Hiro-san’s gorgeous and gentle doggy companion, Marie-chan. And oh my gosh, the lovely bath prepared for us every evening!! If we are ever in the area, we will go out our way to stay here again. Thank you Hiro-san.
