The location is phenomenal! The building has so many windows and French doors, it gets a lot of natural light. There are private balconies in the rooms; however what really spoke to me are the airy livingrooms and varendas on each floor. If you wake up early you can catch stunning pink dawn and orange sunrise. They grow some of their own vegetables and they are tasty.

The White House Bungalow is a very clean place with an extremely nice owner. Hot water in the spacious bathroom and each of our 2 rooms had a terrace. We noticed an avocado tree in a nearby garden, a few minutes later we got a bag full of avocados... We left very early in the morning to climb Adam's Peak, we got our take-away breakfast at 5 a.m. on New Years day! What a good service.

The owner is a very nice and helpful person. He asked us if we needed anything in a very polite way. We requested dinner and he provided a supper delicious dinner at a very comfortable rate.

We were supposed to stay only one night, but shortly after we arrived we have decided to prolong our stay. Firstly the room looked absolutely amazing and the views from the terrace were breathtaking! Then we also found out that the owners are the best, very nice people and they will help you to arrange anything you need. We rented a scooter from them. Saman makes everything happen and on top of that his wife is an amazing cook. We have spent a little over two weeks travelling across Sri Lanka and this was for sure our favourite place! Would definitely come back for longer to this place.

Well, what can we say about Top View that hasn’t been said by many other reviewers already… Prianti and ‘Hubby’ are most likely the kindest, most generous and loving people you might ever meet. We were immediately welcomed with warm regards and a cup of tea. The rooms here are spacious and clean and the shower is just right! The shared balcony boasts an amazing view of Hatton and the surrounding tea hills behind. The service here is more akin to spending quality time with friends than being waited on by ‘staff’. We were treated to delicious breakfasts and filling dinners, home cooked by Prianti herself. The food is restaurant quality and should not be skipped out on. Arguably the best place to get food in Hatton! Tuk tuk rides can be also arranged for you at a reasonable price if you wish to visit Adams peak and so on. Our stay at top view was made so enjoyable and relaxed that we left with a lump in our throats and a date in mind already for when we will return. Top View is top notch! The photos don’t do this place justice! The owner has thought of everything for a comfortable stay, there’s a lovely view overlooking the city from the patio, and everything feels recently renovated. I really appreciate the cookies, drinking water, tea, and coffee. Beds are comfortable with an extra blanket in the room just in case.

Beautiful stay with gorgeous view. The room was spacious and the bed was huge and comfortable! Breakfast and dinner were delicious!

Really nice hotel with balcony and nice view. It was clean and we felt really comfortable. We were in the room at the top which was really nice. There were also towels

Amazing couple running this place. Ruki and Nilu are fantastic people, speak good English, will do everything to make your stay as memorable as they can. They cook very good local food (amazing). Ruki can take you everywhere you need around Hatton with his tuk tuk (middle of the night ride to Adam’s Peak trail, visit tea factory, waterfall view points, rafting, etc.). Everything with a reasonable price. If you want to experience true Sri Lankan hospitality - book this place. The place is not straight at the city center, but it doesn’t matter, you still have to take a ride to visit places around town.

Nice an friendly host, good location almost close to the train station, if you don't carry heavy backpacks. Clean and big room, hot water, good wi fi. Good for transition.
