We had a great stay with our family of 4. The rooms were perfect, the grounds were beautiful, and the pool was perfect in such a scenic area. The hosts treated us like family!

We stayed here whilst walking the Alpe Adria trail. It had everything we needed and was clearly a favourite of the locals. Unfortunately we'd already eaten so didn't have an evening meal but the breakfast was delicious and the scrambled egg were the best of our holiday. They grew their own apricots and made wine. They left a couple of bottles in the room to sample on the house and they were delicious. The hosts were friendly and welcoming.

Nice to stay right in the Medieval castle walls! Alena was very helpful and gave personal information to help us find our way around. It’s vey small and quaint! Excellent wine bar, Vinoteka, and restaurant Hisa Marica.

The buildings had a sense of history. It was excellent in that there were several buildings which made up the hotel. The lovely castle grounds with the pool and the separate building where most rooms are located and where breakfast is served. At meal times you can try different wines with cold meet and cheese. There are also a couple of nearby restaurants - 2 within walking distance - of which Dwor Osteria was very good. The staff at the Castillo were incredibly kind and helpful. What a fantastic spot - as ever - high on the hillside, just off the church square - vines in the distance. Literally 1km from the Slovenian border. Finally , great value , at least in late august 2021. 60€ per night for a single room.

Beautiful housing set up with multiple areas to utilize as you needed. The pool, outdoor kitchen, grill, outdoor tables/chairs. Plenty of space to enjoy the wonderful weather and beautiful scenery. The breakfast was delicious although an extra charge. Plenty of free parking, even for larger family vehicles. Host and staff were very kind and willing to answer any questions. Suggestions were made for places to visit/eat as well as maps to help navigate. There are wine tastings 2 nights a week. I was unable to attend but wish I could have.

We very much loved our stay at Toscanina. Firstly, we were warmly welcomed by the host of the hotel, who gave us even extra information regarding sights in the neighbourhood, restaurants and walks. We were offered help with our luggage. The bar normally closed at 9, but we were welcome to stay for a drink, even after closing time, which we found extremely friendly. Again they offered great advice regarding sightseeings and even for our further travelroute. The breakfast was excellent. There was a lot of different things to choose from and all very very good. They even waited to make the eggs so to make sure that they would still be warm. We overall very much enjoyed our stay and we would surely recommend this hotel.

The place is great, the host is great, everything was as we agreed. A great place to rest. In the morning you hear the birds singing.
