At the guest house, each unit is fitted with bed linen and towels. It is a 3-storey building run by a very welcoming family. The breakfast is the best we have tasted in the whole island, with a lot of quantity and the quality was excellent (they made homemade sponge cake!!). The host family are very nice, friendly and welcoming. They are learning many languages, and try to speak to you in your own language. The room was clean, air-conditioned, and brand new (in fact, they are working on the upper floor to make more rooms). It is without a doubt, our most recommended stay in Cape Verde!!!

We arrived at the hotel in the afternoon, straight from our hike which started at the Cova crater - Vale do Paul. The location was very convenient for our travel plan. There is a grocery store right next to the hotel, and a restaurant opposite to it. The hotel is very well maintained, there is a nice pool in the garden and breakfast is also served there (it was a very good one!). The room was clean, air-conditioned, with comfy beds. We spent 2 nights there and could not enjoy the second breakfast but the host was very kind and gave us some bananas for our next hike (Cruzihna - Ponta do Sol). He also arranged a taxi for us upon departure, overall he was very attentive and welcoming.

The girls were so kind and helpful and David speaks English super well and was very prompt to answer any questions I had about the local area and b&b. Absolutely recommend staying here if you’re in ponta do sol. WiFi is also decently fast for Cape Verde standards. Super clean rooms and bathrooms. Breakfast was also delicious every morning.

Casa Santa Barbara Deluxe is situated in Ribeira Grande and has a private pool and pool views. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The guest house features family rooms. Lovely ladies are working there! It wasn't hard to communicate even if they don't speak english. Clean and very nice room. Comfortable bed. And all just goood. Excellent breakfast with lots of choises. Clean and fresh pool was just perfect after long hiking day. Biggest recommendations to this place!

No air-conditioning but still cool by leaving windows open, with the downside being outside noise and a couple of streetlights lighting the room somewhat.
