Lovely bottles of wine available at a reasonable price. The room was spacious with a great balcony and a view of the valley and vineyards. The breakfast was amazing with egg, cheeses, cold cuts, and lots of fruit. The bike path along the Mosel is very close so lots of opportunity for walking and biking. Nice restaurants close by as well.

At the guest house, the units come with bed linen and towels. Our host was incredibly accommodating and obviously takes great pride in caring for her guests. She met us at check-in, walked us through everything, and coordinated breakfast. The rooms were spotless and had everything we needed. The location was perfect for us after visiting Burg Eltz that afternoon, before making our way down the river back home. Parking is on site. There are walking paths behind the house. She gave us excellent recommendations for dinner. The downstairs is accessible for an open tab on wine and beverages after hours as well as access to the terrace with a view of the river. She served us, sat and chatted with guests during breakfast, and was just lovely in general. She also made our children hot chocolate in the morning, which she joked was the best in Germany- but my kids actually said it was the best they'd had! This hotel was very beautiful, in a beautiful old building with great historic features. But our room was modern and cozy, not old-fashioned at all, with floor heating for toasty feet. It was also maybe the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. They also made late check-in very easy. If I were ever in Cochem again, I would stay here for sure.
