We had such an amazing stay at JJ’s. We originally booked for three days but ended up extending for another three because we loved it so much. JJ and his family/staff are all very kind and friendly — they made us feel so at home in their beautiful slice of the world. Elephantine Island is very relaxed and has a lovely local feel (a very nice change from Aswan city and the rest of Egypt!). That said, you’re only a two-minute ferry from the mainland which was super easy and we went in most nights for dinner. We booked a tour to Abu Simbel through JJ which saved us from having to think about logistics of getting there ourselves 🙌🏼 we ended up being the first group there for the day so got some amazing photos and we’re back in the guesthouse by 1pm. Also the included breakfast was incredibly generous. Everyday we had fresh juice, eggs, bread, salad, cheese, fruit salad, jam & honey. Honestly amazing value and cooked with love. Plus the view from the rooftop (where breakfast is served) is beautiful, looking over the Nile. Our room also had an amazing view of the river. Honestly I can’t rave enough about this place. We feel so happy to have stumbled upon JJ Guesthouse and are leaving with some very special memories ✨🩷

They helped to make an appointment for the driver to pick us up at the airport, and also prepared Nubian drinks and desserts for us. The scenery on the balcony was very good. We met her husband on the balcony and enthusiastically gave us desserts. I recommend everyone to live here.

He went above and beyond in helping me with anything that I needed and he made my trip to Abu Simbel the absolute best solo experience I ever had. I felt totally safe and well accommodated; he would always follow up if there's anything I needed, accompanied me on several activities and was a good photographer, kept track of the timings and schedules for my tours before, during and even after I left the guest house. The food that his wife prepared were totally amazing, everything was fresh and complete. I highly recommend guests to stay in Osiris Guest House.

Located 22 km from Aga Khan Mausoleum, FADL Kato in Aswan provides rooms with air conditioning and free WiFi. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. Each room has a patio with views of the river. We really enjoyed our stay at FADL KATO, with a beautiful location over looking the Nile, and a very accommodating host who helped us a lot by recommending restaurants and places to go to on the island and booked for us transportation to Abu Simbel and other trips. Would really recommend the place.

My wife and I stayed two nights in this beautiful hotel and wished we would have stayed longer. The hotel owner (Tamer) and his nephew (Mo) made us feel at home, helping us organising trips at very fair prices and preparing delicious breakfast and dinner every day. The hotel is located in a Nubian village, on the West Bank of the Nile. You can get there very easily for 10 EGP per person with the public ferry. The atmosphere in the hotel and the village is very relaxed, which we absolutely loved after coming from very busy cities like Cairo and Alexandria. One of our highlights was the morning run + swim in the Nile that we did with Mo, who showed us the best spots in the village and in Aswan. We will definitely come back to visit these guys who became our family for some days

Got us great deal on some local outings like our cruise to Luxor. Guest house itself very relaxed and in a cool area that is fun to explore.

The owner is a friendly and welcoming person. he welcomed us and picked us up from Abu Simbel airport for free. it was a pity to stay only 1 night. I recommend to stay at least 2 nights to enjoy Abu Simbel temple at night and also the sunrise boat ride with view of the temple. breakfast was also great. Big thank you and looking forward staying again.

Very kind and attentive staff. Convenient location next to ferry to mainland. Excellent view of the river, boats, corniche, sofitel cataract hotel. Reasonably priced laundry service. Powerful air conditioner and comfortable bed. Refrigerator in room was a welcome touch and I really enjoyed sitting on my terrace watching the boats on the nile. Rawia and her staff will do all they can to ensure you enjoy your stay as much as I did.
