I was served local food in the morning while I was sitting at the kitchenette having my usual breakfast I've bought myself prior to arriving (muesli, yoghurt and banana) and coffee (provided by the host). She gave me little snackettes for several days..bananas..fritters..currypuff..nasi Gudek.. Although, breakfast is not included in the booking. Im soo grateful. Thank you for being a superb host!

It was serene and has a fully covered courtyard in the the center where you can eat breakfast or have tea every morning (the photos on the site are very accurate). The individually-portioned breakfast was awesome, very generous, and changed on a daily basis. I also loved the fresh ginger tea they served in the evenings. In terms of location, you can get to Malioboro via a $2 cab ride (or you can walk 20-30min to get there). It's super easy to get cabs in Yogyakarta. There's also a convenience store right outside on the main road, and the guest house is a 3min walk away from Tempo Gelato (a popular dessert place). The staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially Bambang, who is such a kind person and always there when we needed something.

Our host set up our trekking tour for us with a great guide- everything included- which was so easy, and we had great laundry service done. Water, tea and coffee available to self-serve and beer was available for purchase- nice details!
